If I remember right, Bonine is the same ingredient as the less drowsy Dramamine. Not sure what the drowsy dramamine would do to me, but the non-drowsy stuff knocks me off my feet for 24 hours. We're talking all I want to do is sleep. Not good! Does the same thing to my DH and my daughter.
I got my ginger capsules at GNC. They used to make a concentrated formulation, which was great--little strong capsules. They stopped making them and I have to take twice as many of the non-concentrated. Basically take one or 2 in the morning and follow up with another one or 2 mid-day. If your local pharmacy doesn't carry it they should be able to order it.
The only side effect is "ginger breath".
I also take it whenever I'm feeling a little sick at home. It's a Chinese remedy and it does seem to help.
Make sure if you do try Bonine, etc that you try it out at home first.
