Bonine is my friend!
I've gotten increasingly more sensitive to motion sickness in the past few years-- can't ride in the backseat of a car, even for short distances-- and forget about reading!! ICK!
I rode some type of ride at a tiny park amusement park a couple of years ago with my dd-- can't for the life of me remember what it was called, or anything-- it just lifted off the ground and went in big circles-- kinda similar to AstroOrbiter, or something... but oh, my gosh-- I literally had to stumble out of the ride and sit on the ground under a tree, for probably 30 minutes before I could even move.... it didn't help that a kid about 20 feet away was puking into a trash can.
Anyway.... I took Bonine for the first time in June, everyday, starting with the drive to WDW. I was able to read a little (I didn't "push it") and watch my dd's 5" DVD player some while riding in the van.... (front seat-- like I said, I wasn't taking too many chances...)
We rode EVERYTHING while at WDW, and I didn't have even the slightest tinge of nausea. I DID take two on the day we did Future World-- I was REALLY nervous about M:S, but did great... we only rode once, but that was because of the crowds, etc.
I did, however, follow the directions to the "T." I also made sure that my dd6 did, also. I drilled her in line about keeping her head back, etc., and also let her know that I wouldn't be able to look over to check on her, and NOT to look over at me, or her Dad. She's never had any motions sickness, but I didn't want this to be the first time.
We all did great, and loved it.
Can't wait to go back! (With a box of Bonine!!!) H
