Our last trip to Disney will be almost 2 years ago when we go in June. My daughter cried on Star Tours and wouldn't rise 7 dwarves.

From going to local parks, she's become a little bit more brave.

She wants to do Star Tours, 7 dwarves, but none of the mountains. Was thinking about doing mission space at Epcot with her. When I did it years ago, and I did the tamed version (was it green then too?) I had no issues. I guess it's been tamed down even more now?

Your thoughts on how green is now? Less or more rough than Star Tours, Soarin? I can't remember much about it, been 8 years or so since I've been on.

She actually did Soarin, the new one, when we went in August of 2016. She did fine. She wasn't ready to jump back in line for it, but she also wasn't crying or looking at my in disgust.

So I'm thinking she should be taking a decent jump this trip.

Thanks for reading and any responses.

This is tough to answer as kids are different and go through phases - when DD was 6 she went on MS Orange with me and loved it, and also went on Tower of Terror many times and loved it. We then went back a couple years later and she didn't want to go on either, despite having loved them a couple years prior... go figure.

Last Nov our 5 yr old Grand Daughter loved the Orange side, in fact she did every ride she was tall enough for, only RnRollercoaster shut her out. Your mileage may vary.

Yes, green is the "tame" side and the ride itself is quite tame, IMHO. Certainly no movement like you would find on Star Tours. I would caution, however, if anyone in your party has any issues with claustrophobia, you may want to avoid it.

My then 4 yr old did green mission space 9 years ago no problem. I did not really notice any movement at all, so if it's tamed down even more, I imagine she would be fine. They are closed in, so if tight like spaces are an issue, I'd skip it.

My daughter rode MS green as a 6 year old in August and November. She is not a fan of Star Tours but loves 7DMT and Soarin.
It really is an individual answer for each child though. My friends kids (9 & 11) rode orange side and were a bit queasy for the next hour or so.
Hope that helps!

This is hard without knowing your child. I will tell you my 7 year old rode mission space green last year when he was six and absolutely loved it. But he also surprisingly did Expedition Everest and Space Mountain but he's my adventurer. My 11 year old who was 10 last year wouldn't ride anything not test track or 7 D nothing rides make him anxious just thinking about them.

Every kids is different. I would prep her before and be prepared for her to bolt with someone being able to wait with her. This is from my own experience.

The green side has no spinning so just like Star Tours. It's a very tight space in case that's a problem. I've done Orange once- not anymore- the spinning made me feel a little dizzy for a while.

I was very nervous about taking my eager five year olds on it, but I asked the CM at the entrance to tell me his honest opinion of if would he take a 5 year old it and he said "Frankly, the kids never seem to have a problem with the motion--it's always the adults." Sure enough, my twins LOVED it so much they demanded to immediately get in the queue for orange, whereas both green and orange made mommy feel sooooooooo dizzy and nauseous. I toughed it out though - the things you do for love.

There really isn't much motion at all on the green side, so it's not the motion that's challenging. It's a problem for people with claustrophobia.

The only time I've ever seen a kid upset with MS was while waiting to board. A little boy, maybe 5-ish, was silently crying. Tears running down his face. Someone in their party noticed and asked what was wrong, and the poor little guy choked out that he didn't want to go to into space for two weeks. It was the pre-show narration that scared him.

So, as long as your 6-year-old understands that it's pretend, and they don't have issues with claustrophobia, they should be fine. :)

The only question for me would be about claustrophobia. The movement is fine, and it's not intense at all. It is cramped, though.
