To some the whole thing is a big Hoop De Doo while others seem to take it TOO seriously ...there IS a thing called balance.

just a clarification:::::
i don't think it's ever funny to have people die and the sorrow associated with that isn't being made ( imo ) a subject of humor ( although i really didn't care for the hddr so not sure if that puts me in the middle any way) but do find it funny the extremes some have gone to about this...as in the "i haven't ridden it but it's too intense to be safe so the ride is a serial killer & the ride should be dismantled, paved over and the spot never used again and Disney is an unfeeling money grubbing corporate monster if they don't do just that" purely emotional response mentality ( well maybe the money grubbing part is kind of true but that's a whole nother thread )

like the RN above said( a imo voice of educated reason) it can and does happen all the time in all kinds of situations-fact of life

We all have to treat ourselves better. A few months ago, my mother was at a nutritional seminar down in S. Florida. The presenter was talking about the various food groups, vitamins, fats, etc.

At the end of the presentation, she asked "What is the most dangerous food you can eat."

An elderly man slowly stood up and said sadly "Wedding Cake".



Now go get a physical.

This has gotten overblown. I am sorry that the little boy and lady died but there are people every day dying from exactly what they did and in very normal ways. Elevators give g forces even.

I'm sorry that the original poster of this thread won't go on Mission: Space. And that his attempt to try and help people may scare many people away from this ride.

Every single day groups and the government tells us what new things causes Cancer or other diseases. We are bombarded with scarey things of bird-flu headed for us. New countried with nuclear capabilities. Much of this making us want to live in bubbles in bomb shelters.

And now we're to be frightened over the rides that Walt made. That has engineers checking and rechecking.

We're all going to die. And to quote from one of my favorite movies: Life is short: Get busy living, or get busy dying.

Worrying about everything to me is getting busy dying so I'm living life to the fullest and ride Mission: Space and enjoy every little second of it. Ely
