As I sit here at work listening to Mouseworldradio, they are playing the TODP music. I got to see it for 1st time in 2001, and by the time I came back in 2003 it was all but a memory. Anybody else fans of that parade. I just loved the music from that as well as thoses really cool stilt-walkers!!! Heard any rumors about another parade coming to Epcot???:(

I havent heard yet of a new one, but Im with you. I REEEEAAALLLYYY miss it.:(
This was my DDs first experience with a parade and she still talks about it 2 years later. We must have picked a really good spot because she got so much chacter interaction we couldnt believe it!! She calls it "her" parade.:(

I loved ToD. I miss it so much that we listen to the cd that has ToD music on it all the time. hearing the music brings tears to my eyes. If they HAD to cut a parade they should have cut Disney stars and Motor cars instead. (IMHO):( :(

That's interesting because I have never seen the Parade at MGM, but I've people say the same thing as you:p

Me too. This parade (well, Tapestry of Nations, actually) was my all time favorite Disney parade ever. I loved Tapestry of Dreams as well, just preferred the original. I will really miss it on our next trip. It was absolutely wonderful!

I had the opportunity of seeing the parade several times myself, and we too have the soundtrack. My entire family misses it, and I too don't care much for the Stars in Motorcars. I think that one is geared more towards the younger crowd because it gives them the chance to see lots of Disney charactors. I say bring back Tapestry!

We loved that part of Epcot. I am glad I taped it a few years ago and we have the cd.

Glad to know i'm not the only one out there. We listen to the TOD music all the time in the car. I LOVED that parade. It was so unique.

I agree! This was my favorite parade, my sister bought the CD and her kids have been so excited about seeing it on this trip we're taking together this winter, it was sad to have to tell them it was gone! Maybe they will bring it back? The music was lovely, the parade so original!

you guys got me thinking why the heck they decided to pull that parade?? Did they not think it was working with the foot traffic??

A CM told us in early January that ToD was visiting another Disney park. I believe he said Tokyo.

Count me in...

I saw it in 2000 and 2001. I was really sad they cancelled it before we went last June. Only one of my kids had seen it before...

*sigh*

Why would they cancel it and not have a parade for EPCOT? It make no sense.

That's intersting as I was told it was away. Need too many people (???), problem with them ripping and being hard to control in the wind. I was told it was very unlikely they would bring it back ever!

I don't think it is at Tokyo, as that is my longtern dream and I visit the website frequently (unless I missed it which is possible).

This was our all time favorite parade. My kids just loved shaking hands with the big puppets and there was so much personal interaction that it was always a popular hit in our family. We too have the CD and my kids can tell you every moment of what is happening in Illuminations just from listening to the soundtrack- yikes!

Wish they would bring this back!::MinnieMo

Disney, please bring back Tapestry of Dreams. Even if it's only once a week or something... I play the cd over and over, attended the last showing of the parade, and still wish I could see it even one more time :(

I LOVED THAT PARADE. THE MUSIC WAS SO GREAT THAT I ACTUALLY BOUGHT A CD AT EPCOT OF THE MUSIC. I LISTEN TO IT WHEN I GET NOSTALGIC FOR TOD.

I HOPE EPCOT BRINGS IT BACK.:earsboy:

I really don't think it was a problem with the parade itself (too many people, hard to control, etc.) as it ran successfully for a little over 4 years. By the way, until Tapestry of Nations, Epcot hadn't had any parade at all. So, it isn't a new thing for Epcot to be without a parade.

I was so glad we got to see it one last time in Dec, 2002. It was my parents' first ever trip to WDW, so we have lots of wonderful, vivid memories of that whole trip, including the parade. I can still see it whenever we play the CD. Ahhhh, glad we're not the only ones sad that it's gone.

I just learned that it is gone and will really miss it on our trip this April. We saw it in spring, 2001 and it was really amazing. I also bought a CD of the music. I can only pray they bring it back.

I miss both Tapestry of Nations and Tapestry of Dreams. Both were excellent parades, but I slightly preferred ToN. The music was wonderful, as were the incredible puppets and costumes. I will never forget the look on my mom's face when she saw ToN for the first time--absolute childlike wonder on a 50 year old's face. :)
