Missing it by 5 days

We check out on Aug 24th. Such a bummer!

Anyone have thoughts (or inside info) on if anything will be soft opened the days leading up to the full opening?

We are in the same boat. I activated our AP 8/22/17 hoping we would catch SWGE opening. We missed it by one week.

We check out 8/25 and are heading out on a Royal Caribbean cruise that gets back on 9/1. I am about to change my flight to come home a day or two later and just suck it up and get 1 day tickets.

We'll be back in 2020, so I think I'll be OK with missing the opening. I'm sure it's going to be an absolute zoo anyway.

I saw for Disney Land they're requiring special advanced reservations (no-cost) and that capacity is limited, and only one of the rides will be open. I haven't done a lot of looking around to see if they're going to have similar policies in effect at DHS.

We leave the 24th as well. We love, love, love SW and the near miss is a bit hard to take, but we'll be OK with it. None of us want to wait in line forever and we'd like to be able to at least semi-enjoy the experience of visiting SWGE. Our plans were to go back in 2021, taking a year off to do some other traveling, hoping the bugs will be worked out before we return.

We’re leaving on the 27th....considering extending our vacation an extra 3 days despite knowing it will be a madhouse!!

Our last park day is the 26th. I'm glad to be missing it. We will be back next August.
