From 1994 to 2000 we camped here at least once a year, started in a popup moved to class a mh. Kids grew up and we became DVC members and we love our new home SSR, but reading the camping post sure brings back memories of the kids riding there bikes rent the golf carts lazy walks and the movies. I guess I was just missing those good oh campfires and Chip n Dale. :cool1:

While I would not want to see them "convert" the current campground, I always thought it would be a good idea to create a few new loops as DVC loops..

We are DVC Members and have used our Membership to stay at a DVC Resort only once since 2002 when we bought our RV. Staying in a 1 bedroom is special but staying in our own home on wheels is even better. We enjoy FW so much that we are considering selling our membership.

No real need to add new loops because DVC Members can now book campsites using DVC Points. This was announced this past Sept. durring the DVC Member Cruise.

We are DVC members too (VWL) and used our points in October to stay in Ft. Wilderness in a cabin. We used to stay there all the time before we became members, but really missed Ft. Wilderness. We rented the golf cart too, and we had a great time!

We're new DVC members also, but staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins next month for 3 nights before moving to the VWL. I've always wanted to stay at Fort Wilderness, and by staying there over the weekend we get to save those expensive weekend points, plus experience both resorts. Best of both worlds. I'm really looking forward to our first stay there, I know my 13 year old son and my husband will love it! :teeth:

We used to stay in the cabins and I miss going to Ft. Wildnerness but staying at VWL is even better to me. Earlier this week, we rented bikes and rode around Ft. Wilderness. It was great seeing all of the Christmas decoration, and yes, THAT made me wish we could stay there again. Every time I see Chip n Dale, I remember the campfires and movie programs that we enjoyed when our sons were with us, and we will definitely get to one of those in January, just DH and me!
