Missing ETWB queue with fp+

I just read that if I use FP for Enchanted Tales With Belle that I will miss going through the living room and head right to the shop. Is this a big deal?

Also, what's the longest it would take me to get through? If I had a fp for 12:30 and I want to still get to BOG lunch. I would cry if I missed the lunch line! (I don't mind eating lunch at 1:30 or 2:00, just don't want to miss it)

Thanks!

1. Not in my opinion.

2. Figure 45 minutes or so to be safe. In your scenario, I'd schedule BOG for 1:30p - 2:00p.

Will I be OK without a FP to BOG? Second week in March 2015... or should I plan on hitting the line closer to 1:00 than 1:30?

I have a general concern about missing queues with FP+

As a Disneyland regular, there are some attractions where I am more interested in the queue than the ride (I'm looking at you, Little Mermaid).

I know Belle has some incredible effects as part of the experience. I'd love to hear a little more detail on what you miss.

Also, for someone like me who is very interested in theming... what queues will FP+ ruin? (Other than Little Mermaid and potentially Belle...)

I haven't used FP+ but based on what I have heard and experience with old FastPass the following have significantly different FP queues.
Test Track (standby get to design own vehicle, FP has less options).
Seven Dwarves Mine Train (themed games in standby line).
Toy Story Mania (FP won't see Mr Potato Head animatronic).
Expedition Everest (standby passes through a "museum" dedicated to the Yeti legend).

Also at Universal we did HP and Forbiddon Journey twice, standby and single rider and the single rider line is a staircase straight to the station missing the entire theme and queue.

With a fast pass you go straight to the room with the magic mirror. It's worth it instead of a 45min queue.

If you can get one, an FP to BOG (which doesn't count against your initial 3) will save you 20-30 minutes of waiting to order.

You don't miss any of the effects with an FP to ETWB.

FP+ on Test Track has exactly the same vehicle designing capability as SB. You don't miss out on any of it. The Single Rider line is the one with fewer design options, from what I understand.

Yep. :thumbsup2

I was hoping to get BOG fp, but we're staying off site, so, no go. I don't mind waiting 20-30 minutes (an exercise in patience) as long as I get in. 40-50 minutes on the other hand.... :hourglass

I used a FP for ETWB last week and thought it was worth it to miss the queue. I like to see Mr Potato Head in Toy Story, but not enough to wait in a huge line for it.

Also at Universal we did HP and Forbiddon Journey twice, standby and single rider and the single rider line is a staircase straight to the station missing the entire theme and queue.

The Forbidden Journey ride also has a separate line for those who just want to walk through the castle and not ride. I have done this one with my DD also, because she wanted to spend more time in the rooms but the ride line was moving too fast!

If you aren't planning on early bedtimes, in our experience the line is much shorter near park closing after a lot of the littles go to bed. We've done it late in the evening more than once, and have never waited more than 10 minutes. I think if you hit it at 8:00 p.m. or later you can hit some short lines. When MK has a midnight closing we have hit it between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and pretty much walked right in- just had to wait until they were ready to move the next group into the workshop room. Our friends did it in that time period and they actually had to wait 10 minutes for more people to arrive so they would have enough to fill several of the little roles.
