Since there is no possibility of a rant this week, here is a link to a Sentinel story that relates to a not too infrequent subject of Pete's rant, that part of the tourism tax that is allocated to the Visitor's Bureau.
The point of the article (which seems to ramble on some) is that the Visitor's Bureau is not a public agency and doesn't have to comply with open meeting rules when spending the $100 million in tax-money it has received in the last two years.
