missed tax credits/deductions

Hi All
Getting ready to file my taxes and was hoping everyone might have some input any common missed credits/deductions. I think I have everything in order but just thought I'd ask beings its that time of the year....

Any input is appreciated.

Besides the deduction for dependents there is a child tax credit. Be sure you're getting that.

Mortgage insurance and interest.

Home energy, if you've made any energy efficient improvement or gotten energy efficient appliances (have to read the rules, of course).

Child care deduction.

Job related expenses, and union dues.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head!

In Minnesota we used to be able to list our tabs for our vehicles every year...

If you bought a new car this year, you get some sort of break for it...
