Missed ADR deadline

So, once again, even though I swore that I would not, I blew the 180 day ADR (we're going in early October). I'm left without reservations for BOG and 'Ohana. Any thoughts on the best strategy for getting a table for dinner for both? Making it worse is the fact that it's a large party (14 people).

Two options:

1. Hack into Disney's reservation system, determine the names and contact info for all those who got them before you, hunt them down, and threaten them to within an inch of their lives. Or....

2. Keep checking back.

For ohana, try breaking your party up into 7 and 7 or 8 and 6. Not ideal, but at least get the reservation for 2 smaller parties. Then show up early and let them know that both parties are together, they might be able to seat you together or at least close to one another.

I've seen people have luck (albeit they had much smaller parties) of checking at the 45 day mark when people "may" cancel trips without penalties. I've also heard that if you just keep checking, sometimes you will get lucky. I have been trying to get an earlier time (our ADR is at 9:30) for BOG on 8/10, but have not been able to yet. I'm going to keep checking. Wishing you the best.

With the CC hold for both of these ADRs, I would think you'd be inclined to come across some times due to cancellations. People won't hold reservations like they used to since there is a penalty now. So keep checking!

Last trip I kept checking and checking for O'Hanas...and finally got it, and at a prime time too, the day we were leaving home. So it does happen.
