Mismatched socks

:goodvibesDD wears a uniform to school, but when she's not in uniform, it's mismatched socks all the way! I love not having to match socks (and it is all the rage with her age, 8th grade). She got two huge packs from Journey's footwear for Christmas, and man, were they expensive!!

Hope you are making the profit on them, DisneyScraps! :goodvibes

my daughters wear mismatched socks too... seems the whole school does. At Gordmans (not sure if that is a national store or a Nebraska one?) they sell packages of 8 socks all the same colors but none of the same pattern :)

DS15 has been wearing mismatched socks for years - he just never cared, as long as they were clean.

Where was this thread years ago? This sock matching obsessor could have had hours more time if I had only known that not matching socks is ok. :goodvibes

I've never bought the brand mismatched but my girls have lots of funky socks they mix. It drives me crazy.

You have to look at it like I do- at least now I don't have to go crazy trying to find the missing sock in the laundry anymore

My 6th grader's socks never match. It's great. Now, I just have to take her socks out of the laundry and toss them in a pile - no matching required.

my DD got a pair at FAO when we were in NYC this fall - the heavier fuzzier type. Now she has some tie dye look socks in neon type colors that she mixes up. Sure does make things easy!

Yeah, no more throwing out the good sock when it's match gets a hole.
It's still hard not to cringe when I see the girls dressed out for PE though.

Big Lots has adorable knee socks that look just like little missmatched. $5 for three pairs (six socks)!

The only person in this house that wears matching socks is DH. For everyone else, as long as they're clean, no one cares if they match.

My 14yo DD has worn mismatched socks for years. I think it started when she started middle school (she's a freshman now). She wears the low cut socks that kids wear with Vans shoes. No ankle socks or tall socks for her!

Anyway, she NEVER matches her socks on purpose. I'm pretty sure her friends don't either because whenever someone spends the night, I notice they always wearing mismatched socks, too.

My DD (14) does this. She has for about a year or so. It drives me crazy. I think it looks so silly but she says EVERYONE wears mismatch socks.

we should start a company making miss matched scoks,Think about it buy up all of the companys inventory and just put diffrent ones together and charge twice as mush?

Funny you should mention that, I was watching QVC the other day, and sure enough, someone had come up with miss matched socks. They were really cute too. Co-ordinated but still miss matched.

I'm glad I've missed this one tho I guess it makes life much simpler to throw socks in drawer an pull out a couple but I can see it taking a kid an extra half hour to get ready for school just to pick out mismatched socks lol

My oldest (17yo) has never bothered to match her socks, in years and years. Good to see that she is now fashionable, lol. Hers are solid colored short socks.

In the girls' dance class, several of the kids have done this for quite some time. Always tall, colorful socks. They don't match, but don't clash either. I don't think any of them get the Miss Matched ones, my girls just got packs of colorful knee socks for Christmas, etc, from Target clearance, etc. They mis-match them on their own. It started out just crazy-patterned tall socks, and evolved into not matching them.

Miss Matched is a company that does that. Been at Toys R Us for a long time now.

Yes, my 11-year old does this. She also mis-matches her Converse Chuckies. If this is the worst fashion faux-pas she embraces, I'll be a happy mother.
