Mishaps & Magical Moments...Day 7 Added!

Another great update!!

What a beautiful morning! At least your vacation ended with beautiful weather!

I've never seen Lady Tremaine, Anastasia or Drizella at Disney. We haven't seen the Queen of Hearts and Alice either. We'll have to keep our eye out for them this year. Last May was the first time Emily was not terrified of the characters so that was the first time we actually met many of them.

Can't wait to see how the rest of the day goes!

Day 8....Mishaps and Magical Moments Continued....
We wanted to see Mickey Philharmagic one more time... The show just makes me teary... especially seeing it on your last day!

Then for our last ride (another Goody tradition here)... Last ride of the trip is always Peter Pan!!

We decided that we would leave and head over to lunch at the Wilderness Lodge... but on our way out, we saw the Fairy Godmother and had to stop for her autograph.

and then.... (Wayne's new favorite princess)

We were trying to leave but then we were stopped by the mayor and I had to get a picture!

And then... a show was starting! I am not sure what this was called but it was SO CUTE! It had all the princesses dancing with their princes... and then Mickey asked Minnie to dance and she said "no, Mickey, I can't dance with you, I am not a princess" and Mickey said "aww Minnie, you have always been a princess to me" .... WATERWORKS! Yes, I am that crazy mom crying at the show. I just thought it was so sweet and a GREAT ENDING to the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!

We got on the boat and headed over to Wilderness Lodge for our lunch at Whispering Canyon.

OMG- This hotel is AMAZING! I always thought I wouldn't like this hotel... I thought if I am in Disney I want palm trees! But- We all LOVED it. Loved it so much that we got on the phone and booked a courtyard view room for our next trip (Feb 2011)

Our plans have ALREADY changed!! We are going to stay at POFQ next time, but SOMEDAY I will get back to the Wilderness Lodge!!! hmm- maybe for our 10th anniversary!?

We checked in and were seated at a table with Raphael as our waiter. OMG I had NO IDEA - well a little idea that the waitstaff is silly, but we had the BEST WAITER EVER! He was SO FUNNY!!! I am laughing as I type this... remembering my kids cracking up.... Owen actually started choking on his food he was laughing so hard. (luckily he was fine...) But I had to tell him not to eat while Raphael was at our table.

When he first came to our table he yelled so loud "MYLES is today your Birthday MYLES!!!!!!!!!" OMG Myles almost fell out of his seat. Owen was cracking up. Every time the waiter came by he would YELL "MYLES" When we got our drinks he came back and threw our straws at us- the boys LOVED this too! I am going to forget so much here... It was just the funniest meal I have ever had. At one point he brought over a cup cake and they all came over and sang to Myles and then they all ATE HIS CUPCAKE!!!!! You should have seen Myles face. I thought he was going to cry. Ok bad Mommy that I was cracking up.. I just couldnt believe they did that. Of course they brought him out another one for him... it was awesome!
The kids loved the pony races. The food was great.... Great ending to the trip!!

We took the boat back to the MK and then the boat to the Poly. Gathered our bags and stopped by the gift shop to use up our snack credits. Whoa- going in February when it was cold we realized we didnt use up snack credits like we did in May!! We had 20 or so to use up!!

It was about that time... we went outside to wait for our bus and as a farewell from the Poly we got to see the Tiki Ceremony one more time.

Magical Express was there and we were off, watching the video of Mickey saying goodbye to us - the kids were crying. I couldnt believe how sad they were. We had such a great trip. A trip of a lifetime. Lot's of mishaps but more magical moments that I will remember always.

That's so great you guys have a "last ride" of the trip. Ours was closed in June, so we had to settle for something else.

I'm so glad you liked WL! It is such a beautiful Resort. We've stayed at the villas there and was in heaven.

Aw, WCC sounds like it was a blast. We've always had so much fun there. I can't wait to take my little guy there for his first time in July!

I love that last pic of all of you. Such a great memory.

OK, so I'm crying knowing the boys were so sad to leave. Leaving Disney is the worst feeling ever. At least you had your next vacation booked! I still can't believe you changed your ressie to POFQ already! Did you book with a bounceback offer? I plan on booking our Oct 2011 trip while down there with a bounceback. We are staying at the Beach Club again in 2011 because we want to be close to Epcot for the F&W Festival. Have I told you that already? I think I mentioned it somewhere!

I can't wait to eat at WCC! I only hope we get an awesome waiter like Raphael! Emily can't wait to see Tiana. I showed her the picture of the boys with Tiana and Naveen and she jumped for joy and said, "Disney World is gonna take forever!"

I'm bummed your TR is over, but I am looking forward to the PTR for the big family vacation! Should be fun!

The picture at the end is priceless! I love it!

About changing the resorts...Even though I think the Wilderness Lodge and the Deluxe Dining would be an amazing trip- with me out of work and all I was feeling a little stressed already about how much it would all cost. Having changed the reservation I already feel so much better and more excited for the trip!! I really want to plan a low key vacation.

We stayed at POFQ for our whole family trip and we all loved it. The small size was great for all ages and the kids ADORED the pool!

Sooooo.....if you need a Goody only family trip when you are done with the big family trip, you should come Nov 2011 when we are there for our big anniversary celebration (11 years on 11/11/11) We could meet for real!!!!!!

Awww Nickie - what a fabulous last day you had!! We ate at Whispering Canyon back in 2007 and really enjoyed it! Didn't have a CM like Raphael, but she was still pretty good! Raphael sounds like a hoot! The food was delicious and the resort is so beautiful! I would love to stay there someday, but with 5 it makes it hard unless we have someone else (like grandparents) to put a kid in their room since it is only 4 to a room.

Anyways, you must have been standing right next to my husband at the torch lighting that night. The pictures I posted in my report were from the SAME NIGHT! ANd you guys look like you were in similar places! Too funny!

So how many of you will there be on your next trip? Disney with extended family is indeed challenging, but also super-duper fun! I hope it is for you guys!

We stayed at the WL for our 1st ever on site vacation in 2007 OMG!!!! It was so wonderful...I can't even begin to put it into words!!!
We ate at Wispering Canyon for lunch on our final day also and had a wonderful waiter....had us in stitches the entire meal!!!
I hope you didn't ask for ketchup...my son did...OMG...between that and my husband asking for a refill...I wish I would have taken pics of the table!! We had to of had 30 bottles of ketchup and 15 glasses of pop!!!
What a wonderful trip...i can't wait for our....2 mths and counting!!!
