I think one way to outsmart this issue would be to sign up for a Mama Melrose search (especially FDP) on the sniper sites...I think you will see a dump of them when Minnie's goes live. What do you think? (Hopefully, though you will catch someone being able to book here even earlier than that!)

That may work for some dates, but I think MM has not been loaded for late December either?

It is like a flippin' full time job, isn't it? I pushed my dates back 4 days and now I am babysitting several ADR possibilities, including this one.

To be honest, $89 per adult was way too steep for us, considering what you got. We didn't need 3 identical pins and lithographs, and we were able to see the Osbourne lights just fine without the reserved seats. Once we got FP+ for the singalong, we ended up canceling the party. Hubby is diabetic, and I can't imagine any way that it would be worth $237 for the three of us, no matter how much of a Frozen fan the kiddo is. Instead, we watched the lights and went to Olaf's snowground. We made a mini snowman then bought an $8 Elsa cupcake and $6 Olaf cookie, and that was plenty for us. Your mileage may vary.

Yikes!! $89 an adult and $59 per child! And that was last years price! Maybe not then

I wish they would just keep sending those alerts! I have missed out on stuff posted on the cancellation thread because of this and worry I would miss an update, if I depended on it.

There is a strong possibility those times at Mama Melrose (after December 7th) will be released at the same time as Minnie's. That is pretty much what happened with Epcot dining packages.

If it's not OT - I had a rookie question: how long do buffet style character meals usually last? They didn't have them on my only other trip to WDW - in summer of 1980! (Epcot was being built!)
I'd love to do this H&V meal and still see Osborne lights @ 6 and Fantasmic @ 8:30.

The lights go on at dusk and stay lit until an hour past park closing.

We are usually done within an hour from the time we are seated until we finish eating. We don't mess around or linger though lol! My boys have ants in their pants.

It depends on the characters as well & on which side of the restaurant they are - we've eaten 2x at H&V and still haven't met Doc McStuffins. The entire hr she was on the other side of the restaurant. Skipped Eeyore & Piglet at CP for the same reason.

I'm shooting for 11/14, too. We already have F! lunch at H&V for that day, but if I can nab this dinner instead, I'd cancel that lunch in a hot second!
