Which characters can we expect at Minnie's vs. Goofy's?

Also, how is the food at Minnie's vs. Goofy's? The menu for Minnie's that was listed on allears.net seemed really small.

At Minnie's you can expect Minnie and then frequently one or more Pooh characters. For our last visit we had: Minnie, Pooh, Tigger, Fairy Godmother, Chip and Captain Hook.

At Goofy's you will always see: Goofy, Pluto (Pluto is in front for photos but doesn't circulate. You can take your own photo with him or have them take one with a cute background for a cost). Last time we also saw:
Chip, Dale, Minnie, Snow White, Aurora, Peter Pan and Wendy.

I like both of these for characters because they both have a wide variety of characters that appeal to my girl and boy. I have never seen pooh characters at Goofy's however.

For food, Goofy's has a wider variety. Goofy's is a larger setting so the buffet is larger. At breakfast you will have a carved meat and things like breakfast enchiladas, pizza and chicken nuggets. You will also have a full dessert buffet at breakfast. Its more of a brunch. Minnie's is a breakfast with fewer selections but still plenty to choose from. I haven't gone hungry there for sure!

I prefer Goofy's for food, character wise they are about even. My experiences at Minnie's have generally been hectic but the convenience of being in the park is very nice. I do have to say, I wish Minnies would seat before park opening like the WDW park character breakfasts do. I always hate to waste the early hours of the park eating. At Goofy's you can book as early as 7:00 a.m. and unless its a very Early Entry day, be inside the park for opening or shortly thereafter. They also serve brunch much later, Minnie's generally stops by 11:00 or 11:30 so that the Plaza (the location of Minnie's) can revert back to a counter service lunch location. Goofy's definitely has longer hours and a more varied buffet. And Goofy's serves dinner as well so if breakfast isn't your thing then you always have the option to eat dinner there.

You cannot really go wrong with either!

we LOVE minnie's. we have never had a bad experience there, and our last experience at goofy's will prevent us from ever going back.

we did a last second trip to minnie's on friday. (did you know you can call disney dining the DAY of and still possibly get PS?)

we saw Chip, Dale, Minnie, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Max, Rafiki, Tigger and Eeyore. we love the food there, its the only place hubby has found biscuits and gravy.

At Minnie's a few weeks ago, it was Minnie, Tigger, Chip, Dale, Geppetto, Captain Hook, Eeyore, Fairy Godmother (cheeky old broad), some character from Pinocchio whose name I don't know and no one around me seemed to know either.

If I wasn't staying at Disneyland Hotel, I'd opt for Minnie's just because its more convenient to touring.

At Minnie's we saw Pooh, piglet (dd was very afraid of him), tigger and eeyore. At goofy's we saw goofy, pluto, sleeping beauty, aladdin, ghepetto, alice, and some funny looking money guy?. I think you have alot more variety and better food at goofy's kitchen. Although, I have to say that I prefer pch grill (lilo & stitch) at paradise pier over all of them. I think the food is great and the characters seem to hang around alot longer and interact with the kids more.

We are hoping to see the Pooh characters there for DS3, but I have to say I had no idea you could see more than 5 characters there! Sounds like you've had some great experiences there.

First - I'm totally jealous of those of you who saw Piglet!!!! Never seen him yet!

Minnie's is awesome and we love it too! It's a little harder to do with the shorter park hours for us but we usually try to fit it in once a trip. Nice buffet but Goofy's is still my favorite. Goofy's & Ariel's are saved for dinner for us though because of the lack of other evening character meals.

I actually have to add one more: Piglet was there that day too! Posting this made me think about that day we had at DL with my brother and his kids and I looked back through the photos and Piglet was there too! So we had seven characters.

Minnie's and Goofy's have always had the largest number of characters and the widest variety. Perfect when you have girls, boys and older kids, that way there's something for everyone. Have fun, your trip is nice and close! I hope your ds3 sees all his Pooh favorites!

We love both Goofy's and Minnie's. All the characters we have seen there have been listed above. There seemed to be a lot and there were always a few circualting our area. Everytime we have been there it has been wonderful. The food is very yummy, we love it! There is something about the environment and decor of Minnie's that just makes me feel so warm...it is forsure what DL is to us. You don't get the experience/environment anywhere else IMO.

The Pinicchio character was it a wolf??? Wasn't he called Foulfellow or something like that??

We'll only be at DL for 3 days next May, but I want to try ALL of the character meals as they all seem soooo good! LOL

DH will be all "Disneyed" out by the end of the 3 days - but he'll get over it I'm sure!
