Minnie's breakfast vs. Goofy's Kitchen

Last year I tried to get a ressie at Minnie's Breakfast before the park opened but was not able to.
A fellow Dis'er said it could be done but Disney dining said it could not.
The park opened at 8am when we were there, so 8am was the earliest ressie Disney dining would let me book. The last breakfast ressie was at 10:30 or 10:40. I've read other posts that discourage the later time as the food is a little sparse and so are the characters.
We booked a 9am ressies and that worked out just fine. With a 7Am EE were we starving by 9am anyway.

I think Minnie's only has a breakfast character meal, but Goofy's does have a dinner time Character meal so if you wanted to do a dinner that would be a good option.

Good to know this. I'm waiting on my friend to decide whether she'd like to do the earlier or later seating. When she makes up her mind, I'm going to call and see what the latest ressie.
