Minnie Mouse necklace "possibly circa 1960"

I found a Minnie Mouse necklace that was given to me by one of my teachers as a prize for being a good student and what my teacher told me is it was made in the 60's and I still have it in my jewelry box somewhere. The necklace features Minnie Mouse dressed in a pink and green outfit on a gold chain. I cannot find where this necklace was made but it is really cute. Was this Minnie Mouse necklace part of a set of Disney themed jewelry?
