Hi there

I have to make minnie mouse ears for a teeny tiny toddler head (small 2yr old) and i have no idea where to begin! anyone??

DD will not wear an elastic band around her head, so i'm thinking a black headband. i know the bow thing in the middle, but what would you make the ears out of??

Anyone done this before? thanks!!!

Our (also small) DD almost 2 was Minnie Mouse last Halloween. She wore the Minnie Mouse Ears headband with her costume. We also had her Mouse ears from vacation as a backup. However, she likes the headband. She wears the ear headband and this wiggly candy cane headband all the time.

They have them at DD. Also, we saw little ears that clipped onto her hair. She didn't have much hair so they didn't work.

As for making the ears, try using a double layer of felt that you've glued fusible webbing in between to give some stiffness to them. Then hot glue the felt to the headband. The Minnie bow will probably cover any rough edges from where the felt was glued to the headband.

Good luck.

My son wanted to be Steamboat Willie ( his favorite Mickey cartoon) for Halloween and trust me you aren't finding that! I made his ears by using a platic headband and the stiff felt with an adhesive back ( I got it at Michaels). I cut it into 2 circles with a small piece connecting the circles. Then I peeled off the backing place the headband in the center of the connecting piece and stuck them together. Think of it like 2 circles with a narrow half inch rectangle between the circles, but when you cut it it's all one piece. When you fold it over it sticks to the headband and itself so it stays in place, and you can use the headband either way because it looks the same on both sides. Good luck!
