Personalized bra fittings????
I almost spit my tea out when I read that.

I'll definately have to stop by, if not for the bra fittings than for the yoga. And a mini massage! Heaven. I'll be at Coronado Springs for a conference which happened to fall on the same weekend.....how crazy is that? Luckily it ends Saturday afternoon, just in time for me to check into the hotel. Saves me a long drive home!

Biked four miles today as my cross-training day. It went well until I hit the area of the circle that they are paving - dust central!

Hope all is well with everyone. It's so close! :upsidedow

Hello Everyone!!!

Less than 5 weeks!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Officially started back on my Minnie Training today.

4 miles - 10 min pace - Did I mention how hot :cool2: it is here already. For the first time in a long time I was melting (nice way of saying - sweaty mess) when I got home, but in a wierd way it felt good. It has been 8 days since I had last run, I spent 5 days on a horrible trip for school.

Jen - I'm glad that you are coming with us it will be so much fun!!!

Happy Training everyone,

angie

Hey all!! It's getting so close--I can't believe it's already April! Anyway, tonight was running clinic night. We did the dreaded speed work. A necessary evil, I suppose--but my legs hurt now almost as bad as during marathon training. We did a mile warm-up, 6X200 sprints with recovery and then about a mile cool down.

Oh, and I just wanted to give kudos to all the walkers out there. What you guys do amazes me--first of all that ya'll can walk so fast!:cool1: And then, I do some walking for x-training, and it hurts me worse than running! Don't ever let anyone say you're "just a walker"!

Is there anyone else that is planning to WALK the Minnie?

Kathy

Me! I am a walker, although I have been adding in some jogging to my workouts. My DH couldn't keep up with me walking on saturday, he had to jog :rotfl: But I am by no means fast. My dad is a super fast walker - he walks 10 minute miles (he usually does 5 per day). Hmm, maybe I should try to get him to walk the minnie with me?:lmao:

I don't think you missed it, it wasn't there before, as I have pored over that page many times! What, you don't want a personalized bra fitting, Robert? JK! :)

Four miles this morning, and I'm feelin' fine. :thumbsup2

I bought some Airborne yesterday. I don't know for SURE if it works, but I took it for two weeks before the Half, in December, when everyone around me was coughing and sneezing and all I can tell you was I did not get sick. I intend to do it again for two weeks before the Minnie. I did a 5K last fall with Bronchitis and thought I was going to die. I'm not going thru that again.

Just a little handy hint for you all this morning. :goodvibes

Stacey- I have been adding some light upper body workouts to help fix the problem of needing a fitting:rotfl2: That and 14 pound weight loss since WDW in Jan has helped also. Back to my 155 weight to help increase my walking pace for Minnie and these others with 15 min/mile cuts as well as trying to lower impact of training:)

Judy- I started using it before my flight to WDW in Jan. Heard worked good to take before flights. I always seem to get sick when I fly. I didn't get sick before Goofy:yay:

Hey team........4 weeks today!!!!!

Did you all check out my picture????

How is training going???? I will walk a bit tonight, maybe just 2miles. Back is still a bit sore and cold is almost gone so I don't want to push it but need to start moving again.

I saw the pic Kim! :goodvibes
Take it easy now. 4 weeks! eeeee!

Hey, gang! I know I have been MIA. I have been tied up on a project at work for about 2 weeks that wrapped up late yesterday. Now I am playing catch-up!

If anyone is on their own over the weekend and would like to hear about some openings a bunch of us WISHers have on ADRs at various times over the weekend, please send me a PM. I am glad to try to coordinate on that.

I think there are a couple of spots for Tea at the Grand Floridian on Saturday at 2; 1 spot for Chef Mickey's on Sunday night; 1 spot for a WISHes cruise Sunday night; and a few spots for breakfast at Spoodles on Monday a.m.

Hey, everyone. Still here. Had a mild detour from my training(if you could call it that). Family trip to WDW, and then the startup of softball season, dance pics, preschool registration, etc. Had first run in two weeks on Sunday. Felt horrible during, but good after. About half running, half walking. 3.4 miles in 48 min. So right at a 14 minute mile. Hoping to get that to atleast a 13 minute mile before May, but as long as I stay in the race, I am happy. Excited and very nervous about my first race!

Kimberly

I am soooooo excited I can hardly stand myself. But I am also hyperventilating about all I have to get done between now & then. AGH, too much to think about, just focus on Orlando!!!:thumbsup2

Ninaeve-great job on getting out there!!!

Judy- I am so glad you are ok & getting to do Minnie!!!!!

Well, I haven't been able to do any running, my kids are driving me crazy over Spring Break, AND I lost my keys (because DH's family was in town and I lost control, or maybe because the baby hid them-no one is claiming responsibility, least of all me).

So, I was pretty cranky this morning, but then I went to get a new house key and here is what I found:

This may be old news to those who don't live in the boonies, but I decided it was a sign!! You go, Minnie! No way my day isn't getting better now!

I can not believe it is almost time!!! I am sure the next couple of weeks will just FLY by!

We received 2 wedding invites in the last week for May Weddings--thank goodness they are both after the Minnie. Those of you who did last years Minnie remember my stress of having to rush back home as soon as I crossed the Finish Line to go to my FILs 25th Anniversary as the Pastor of our Church. This year I want to go back to the hotel and lay by the pool and relax and that is our plan!!

Jen--I love that key, it is so cute! If I were you I would look in the couch for my keys--not that I have ever lost any keys, but if I had they might be in the couch:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Judy--That is such GREAT NEWS!!!

Angie--This heat is KILLING me too, but this weekend is supposed to be very nice! Hopefully that will make my 6 mile LR feel a little less miserable!

I love that key.....I think I need one. Do they have a tink one??? She is my favorite.

Speaking of Tink.....will she be on the run route at all does anyone know????? I think she is the only character I have never had my photo taken with and she is my fav.....lol

Well my back is still really sore so no training this week, funny I was so worried about my shins and they are and where fine??????

Ultra.....14 pds that is awesome!!!!!!!

I am a walker as well, I find I can go at a overall quicker pace when I walk it all then walk and jog??? Who knows, with all the excite I just might be energized enough to jog a bit. DD will probably jog most of it but she still isn't taking the training seriously.

I mentioned getting mother-daughter bra fittings to DD.....she just said ewwwwwww.....and walked away......I guess it won't be a bonding moment for us......:rotfl:

I finally figured out my pace after my 10K on the weekend 8.6K per minute. Just under pace but I think with nicer weather, no cold and no back aches and all the atmosphere around I should be OK.

OK, Back to work for a bit.....

Kim

Although I'm not participating in the Minnie this year, I've been reading through your posts because you're such a motivating group of people. I enjoy reading about your training progress and the encouragement you offer to each other. I'm going to the RFTT in October (my first walk/run event) with my DD and I can't wait until a Roster/Training thread is created so I get to know my fellow participants.

 I am so excited for all of you and wish you the best of luck!

Morning everyone! So in 4 weeks I'll be on a plane - I can't wait! Everyone knows the Disney commercial where the kids are too excited to sleep? Yup, that is me - I'm too excited to sleep. I got my Disney vacation planning DVD in the mail on Monday, so despite having late nights by being at hockey games two nights in a row I was so excited that I had to watch bits of it once I got home over the last two nights. Must stop that though, because just over 5 hours of sleep is not quite enough for me.... Good thing I don't have a hockey game to go to tonight..;)

Got my 4 mile run in yesterday, then it is 3 miler scheduled for Thursday and 6 miles on Saturday.
