Minnie headbands bad?

I swear I must have a weird shaped head. I can't wear those sports bands or headbands that are just the elastic circles that run from the base of your neck to the top. They always just slide off with little movement. I don't think the adjustable ears would work for me due to that.

As far as regular ears with glasses. They give me headaches as well, whether I have the glasses on or not. For me, they cause the glasses to dig in, which makes it worse. I think the headaches are something that would go away once you get used to them. I used to wear headbands like that all the time and not get headaches, even if they were a tighter band.

I have one pair that start bothering me some after I've had them on for a while, but my others don't.

I wear glasses and never have a problem with pain or headaches wearing ears, but I tend to take them off for fast moving rides and for shows so I'm never really wearing them all day long. The newer ones are definitely more comfy though.

I have a small head and wear glasses and Disney made ear headbands give me a headache within minutes. I have found a few Etsy sellers that make ears headbands that I can wear all day long without any issues, I even forget I’m wearing them.

I buy the ones of other websites like Jane. The bands are thinner and don't squeeze my head like the ones in the park do. Plus they're cheaper! There's no way I can wear the ones in the park longer than a few minutes.

I can't wear the ones at the park. I buy from Etsy. My favourite ones are the "Ears By Ray" big bow ears 😍

I have trouble wearing most things for too long on my head, I must have sensitive nerves in my scalp. I took a Figment headband, slit the side, took out the plastic band, and sewed the fabric shell onto a comfortable hat. I get compliments from CMs constantly. I also like having a brim and headbands don't allow for that.

They give me a terrible headache, with or without glasses. I've started stretching them out on the way to the parks, and I take them off during meals and on some rides depending on how they're feeling stretch them out again. DD has a pair we've had for several years that is no longer bothersome, but new pairs I hesitate to purchase anymore.

We have mixed reports in our house. They bug my daughter in the usual spot behind her ears. We got her a pair of them in 2018 and she reported the pain after an hour. So with a lack of a spot to store them for the day I stuck them on my head and they don't bug me - so now I just wear them. Can't recall if I also had my glasses on? Never saw myself as someone who would wear ears but I've fallen under the spell. I might even get another pair the next time we go. I say just get them and even if you only wear them periodically, it still makes you feel more "magical" somehow.

I find it varies from headband to headband, I have an older pair of rose gold ears that feel super tight, but the ones I purchased more recently are better, the band doesn’t feel as tight, and isn’t as rigid. I don’t wear glasses, but I do wear sunglasses all the time, and I find it’s better to kind of sit the band behind my sunglasses.

I bought a pair in 2014-ish and they hurt terribly and I threw them away. I bought another pair in 2019 that don't hurt at all. I am not sure why the difference. They have started selling ones that you tie around your head instead of a headband.

I have a big head and I'm assuming why my ears headbands won't stay on! Plus they hurt the sides of my head. So I only wear mine when I first enter the park and walk down Main Street. After that I only put them on for pictures.

I also get headaches from headbands. I wish the traditional ear hats were as cute as some of the headbands. Not saying there aren't good ones, but there seems to be so much more variety with the headbands.

The ones I've bought from Etsy sellers or made myself have been fine. It's the Disney ones that hurt my head because the headband feels longer and hits at an uncomfortable spot behind my ears. I really wanted the light blue pair that came out recently, and when I got them home I cut the ends open, snapped off about half an inch of the plastic headband inside and sewed the ends back up again and have had no problem wearing them. I also glued an extra piece of ribbon on the under side of the headband to help keep them from slipping.

I wear glasses. Some styles from the parks give me headaches and some don't. It's a double whammy headache with the glasses, ears and if I pull my hair back in a ponytail. I play it by ear, no pun intended. If my head starts hurting, ears come off for a while.

I don't have a problem with them, and I do wear them with sunglasses (I'm a contact lens wearer). The ones I've purchased on Etsy from Jolly June Ears have a softer band than the Parks ones-- may be worth checking out. YMMV.

I wear glasses and they don't give me a headache. I just prefer not wearing them most of the time cuz they fall off my head, especially when I'm eating. I prefer not having my ear headband fall into my food lmfao.

If you do tend to get headaches from them but you do want to wear them, just make sure you take a bag with you large enough to put the headband in for a bit. During my trip to WDW I usually wore them at the beginning of the day for photo's, and then once we went on a faster ride or sat down for food or a show, I'd take them off until I felt like wearing them again later on in the day.
