Minnie Dinner and Fantasmic problem

Surely this must be a new policy for the F! Dining package. Up until now there was quite an early cut off time for the dinner ADRs, specifically to allow sufficient time between the end of the meal and the start of the show.

I find this very odd. I had plenty of time to get to Fantasmic after the meal until they moved it to 7pm. I am surprised they have not contacted people and I have no idea who to contact about this. I have a feeling the people that answer general calls have no idea

Yes, if you first book it, and there is plenty of time for the meal, and they suddenly add a Fantasmic an hour and a half earlier, it is up to the person who originally made the reservation that certainly did work, to KNOW that the schedule was changed, to find an open slot, when there isn't any, and change it? Seems like an unreasonable expectation on Disney's part.

Well the description for my 6:25 ADR on 11/27 is now updated. I will wait until I see feedback from others in this situation in early November before I call Disney and ask what the heck we are supposed to do. To me, it seems like they should honor the original booking and offer the fastpass for the originally scheduled show at 8:30. Otherwise everyone with a F! dinner ADR between 5PM and 6:30 is out of luck.

That is ridiculous. I'm sure if you bring it to their attention they'll realize they need to add dining sections to both shows. How are you supposed to eat in less than 30 minutes? The update was probably just a computer generated thing that did not "check the time" of the reservations. Hopefully calling Disney will straighten the whole thing out

Watching this thread for our trip too. Have a 6:30 F! ADR and now there's a 7 p.m. show???!!!

Just called Disney dining. Our trip is the December 4-12. We have a 6:10 reservation on December 6 and I saw this thread started to worry. According to the rep and my own research on Disney's website. Only the 4 and 5 have the additional shows. I looked at the first week of December too and there are additional, earlier shows at 7:00 pm.

interesting.... I noticed yesterday that my ADR now says "1st show"- we have 515 for Minnie Holiday at H & V as well....ours is for 12/20 and it still only shows 1 Fantasmic that night but park hours are only still showing closing at 8. Its a buffet, there's only 2 of us so, I think we should be okay

This is what it is showing under Dining Reservations ( not my MDE )- and it's interesting because now the ADR times only options are on the half hour

Wondering if we'll hear from WDW. We have a 6:30 p.m. ADR on Sun., Nov 22 made when they 1st opened up when only Fantasmic! was at 8:30. Now they've added a 7 p.m. show!!

Well, you are going 5 days before me so I can at least hear what happens with you I may break down and actually call and ask about it one of these days, though.

So I decided to call since we have 5:30 dinner and now a 7 pm Fantasmic on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. After a 20 minute hold where she asked a few people she came back and told me that we can walk in at 7 and sit in our section. Um no we can't. I know that will not work at all. Will have to discuss with my daughter but sadly think we will have to cancel. So bummed

After talking to my daughter we decided to eat quickly. We don't care about meeting all the characters and a buffet is fast by definition. I am guessing Minnie will be at the entrance for a photo like the Star Wars dinner we attended last year. If the waiter lets us pay early (dining plan) we should be good. We will probably check in early. Sometimes that works and sometimes not. Still want to contact Disney though
