They added a 7:00 Fantasmic when we are planning to go. I thought that the Fantasmic packages were only good for the first showing but I don't think we'd make it with dinner. Anyone know how they are doing this? Will our passes be for the second showing??

Are you sure your H&V ADR is for the F! Dining package and not just a regular H&V reservation? F! Dining ADRs are always far enough in advance to get you to the first show, since ONLY the first show is included in the package.

Usually the F! Dining package can't even be booked until the F! Shows are on the official calendar.

Yep, it is indeed for Fantasmic. Our reservation is at 5:00 which would be cutting it close. I know there are later Fantasmic reservations as well. They just added the 7:00 showing. There was only one before at 8:30. Looks like they added the 7:00 a lot of nights in Dec at least.

I just checked my date. My F! dining time is 6:25 on 11/27, and I was already worried about getting to F! for 8:30 in case H&V is running behind on seating. So no way will I make a 7 PM show!

The interesting thing is, my Mama Melrose's F! ADR on Sunday 11/29 specifically says 1st show. I wonder what will end up happening on 11/27...

That is truly bizarre. They often ( and I mean really often) add a second show; but I have never heard of them adding an earlier show than the one previously posted. The last available F! Dining ADR has always been based on the start time of the first show, and has always been more than 2 hours before showtime. I think somebody screwed up the scheduling.

There is a premium price for the reservation with F!. I don't recall how much it is, but I know the cost is higher (when paid OOP) for the package versus "just" the dinner. There will be some upset people if they pay more for their meal and then cannot get reserved seats at the show. DIning plan credits are the same either way.

yeah, I've seen info about this today and it seems really strange. I've never seen Disney add an earlier fantasmic showing, but a lot of folks are in this sticky situation. (I'm not positive, but I think the dinner is 1 credit with or without F!. OOP cost is about 48 without seating, about 52 with F!)

does your dining reservation specify 1st fantasmic? maybe in the peak season they're offering the dinner seating at both meals? I would definitely be calling Disney before I changed my plans or reservations at all.

I am going to keep checking MDE daily to see if the description changes. Hopefully "2nd Show" will be added :santa:

11/27
Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine Dinner Fantasmic!

11/29
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano Lunch Fantasmic 1st Show

We have a 6pm Minnie's for our night, so if they add a 7pm fantasmic there is no way it will happen. Watching this thread to see what people find out!

This makes me glad I booked our meal at 3:25. If Fantasmic has a second show added, and it is early, we will be okay. I just hope we have enough time to enjoy the Lights.

The latest F! Dining package available is about 2hrs before showtime. This allows 60-90 minutes to eat, which for a buffet should be plenty.

But it does sound like for the Minnie package you might have reservations for the 8:30 show if you have dinner at 6pm!

Same boat here for December 4th. F! was only scheduled for 8:30 up until 2 days ago when they added a 7:00 show.

That is so weird! I just checked the 11th and see it is just one show, but I know now I need to keep checking. Do you think the earlier show is to accomodate the additional guests who will be flooding into DHS to see the Lights one last time, and also want Fantasmic?

Keep checking, because the changes I saw in scheduling a couple of days ago only affected that first week of December. I'm sure more are coming for the latter part of the month.

I'm hoping the earlier show will draw some people away from the lights and make the second F! show less crowded. The real reason I booked Minnie's Dinner was for the characters, the F! pass was just lagniappe, but I have the dining plan, so it was just one credit either way. If I was going to be paying extra, I'd be a little miffed!

Now that I know it is happening, I will surely keep checking. Do you know if the package that states first show now means the 7PM show? AS I said, or ADR is early enough that I will be fine either way, but I was concerned that if we did not get to the lights at 6 or so, we would be rushed before Fantasmic, which was my DDIL's only request. A few years ago I left F and beat feet straight to the Lights, and had plenty of time to see them, but with the additional folks wanting to enjoy them as well, I am not at all sure how that will work out this year.

I am with you there - the MM meal is the one I specifically booked for F!, but since I am using a DDP credit for Minnie's I also figured why not get the F! meal.

In the same boat the Saturday after Thanksgiving - they added a 7pm show and our Minnie dinner is at 5:30. Watching this thread to see what happens!

I'm watching this thread because I have a 6 pm Fantasmic Dinner Package reservation and there is an 8:30 Fantasmic scheduled that night and they could add a 7 pm as well... I'm guessing this is a snafu that they may not have the capacity to fix.

I thought that the Fantasmic packages were only good for the first showing

1) Correct.
2) Even on days of two shows, the tickets are for the first show.
3) It is up to the guest to make certain there is enough time to eat and view.
