Minnie Complaint - OMG, now I've done it....

Well, I just had to go and opemn my big mouth. I hate to complain, but teh comments from teh dj this weekend were just awful. So, with someencouragement from friends, I sent an e-mail to Disney through teh Minnie website. I just got an e-mail from the entertainment director asking me to call him and talk about it.

I feel like the anti-magic person. Ugh.

However, I am very impressed that he is taking the time to follow up. Why do I feel like calling is the same as walking down to the principal's office?

I'll do it, though. SHe insulted wayyy too many people for it to go unnoticed.

Well, I called to get it over with. Very nice man! BTW, send pd down there that those fires clear up, because it sounds like breathing fo rteh Danskin Tri there this weekend will not be fun.

OK, back to my point. The DJ is a runner and he noted that she is a very sweet person. He did agree that those comments were not appropriate, though, adn he will speak to her. DOn't know that there's much mre that can be done. I am very impressed that he got back to me so quickly.

On a sad note, the Minnie Marathon has been officially retired. It will be princess weekend next year and they are working on a half marathon. Don't know how I feel about eth half, but I will miss it being Minnie. This former tom boy is just not much af a princess girl. At least I got the cool Minnie medal the only year it was offered.

No more Minnie?? I thought if they would turn it into a half marathon they would at least keep it as a Minnie race. I'm so sad, but at least I got that Minnie medal too.

Darlin I wasn't avoiding you we were busy taking our dog and pony show to the Big City of Cincinnati to go one on one with that big hill in the middle of the half marathon.

One of the guys on the runners world forum commented about the coolest shirt slogan ever. Guess what he saw, yep a WISH shirt.

The first comment was that she could not believe that she saw both fit adn unfit people doing the marathon. I think that was intended to be a compliment. Ugh.

The second was that when she told people to line up by teh flags, she said adn those of you withthe leisurely pace of 12 to 15 minutes line up by teh purple flags.

Hey, that's awesome! Our shirts get noticed don't they? My DD9 wore hers (for scream teaming) to school last week, and got tons of comments on it. We have a great shirt, great slogan, and great team. I had such a blast at the Pig, and I can't wait to get together again.

Thanks Carrie for being our voice--that being said, I must've been a total space cadet at the start b/c I didn't hear any of the comments--come to think of it, can't remember much she said at all

And, now I guess I don't feel so bad about not being able to do the Minnie next year--as there's not going to be one. DH and I were sad leaving b/c his brother is getting married next May and there wasn't a way we could swing both trips. Will be interested to see what the princess weekend is, though.

OMG, how did I miss that. Wow those are totally inappropriate. As others have said thank you for being the voice of our team. Regardless of how fit or unfit any of us all we all had the courage to start and finish the event, everyone who had the courage to start should get only words of encouragement not be put down.
