Who are the "Friends" of Minnie who attend?
How is the food?
How is the interaction and overall feel of the experience?

THANK YOU!!

Last month in addition to Minnie we saw.... Pooh, Tigger, Fairy Godmother, Brer Fox, Max (Goofy's son), Gepetto, Rafiki, Captain Hook, Daisy, and Chip. We have been to at least 15 character meals through the years and we have NEVER seen this many characters at one meal! It was great!

We found the food to be rather bad. I kept taking tastes of what I had and being DONE with each thing. The only thing I could stand was the small Mickey waffle, which is weird, b/c I don't like those at the other character b'fasts I've been to. The eggs in particular were very nasty.

And they ran out of coffee on BOTH sides. Once they finally noticed the line of caffeine addicts, and finally got the coffee going, it took just a minute for the pot to fill, but those long minutes while trying to get someone's attention were very annoying!

We were there last month and, yes, the character interaction was fantastic! Tons of characters! But I also agree that the food was not the greatest. I also stuck with the Mickey Waffles, even though I had other things on my plate. The food seemed particularly greasy (I guess most breakfast food is) and I was not interested in having heartburn all day in the Happiest Place on Earth.

In addition to the food and characters, DD got a balloon and a button so she was pretty happy about that as well. :thumbsup2

This character meal photo and information thread provides the best visual representaton of the kinds of characters you might find at Minnie & Friends:

I have not done the Minnie & Friends meal yet, but I will say that the reviews of the food are pretty much consistently mixed - more so than the other character meals - with a clear slant towards the negative side. It seems you won't find the kinds of specialty food items, variety or quality that you can find at the other meals, I suppose (and perhaps that is why M&F can afford to offer so many characters at a price that is cheaper than Ariel's, Goofy's or Surf's Up with Mickey and Friends), BUT if characters are the most important thing to you - more than the food itself - Minnie & Friends clearly gives you bang for your buck!

Sorry to jump in here, but I too was interested in doing this character breakfast, so following along:)

My question is what is the Surfs Up with Mickey and Friends???? Breakfast? Where?

My question is what is the Surfs Up with Mickey and Friends???? Breakfast? Where?

Surf's Up with Mickey and Friends is located at the PPH. Mickey does not go from table to table, but rather, stands at the entrance for photos. This is the meal that used to be the Aloha Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, and, although I have not done this meal yet, from all accounts by other DIS-ers, all the same characters are still there except Lilo, and most of the same food items are still there that were once at the Lilo and Stitch breakfast, including several of the Asian or Latin-influenced dishes, although a couple of items have been removed. Now it is an all-buffet meal with no menu orders, from what I understand, which of course, allowed them to hike up the price (that, and the fact that this is the only meal where you can find Mickey!).

We've seen: Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Minnie, Fairy Godmother, Max, Capt. Hook, Peter Pan, Rafiki, Honest John (from Pinnochio), Alice, Chip, Dale & the White Rabbit on our last trip.

The food lacked in our opinion but the character interaction & the amount of characters more than makes up for it for our family!!

We've been to all the character meals and this one is our fav for the following reasons:

1. Location
2. number of characters
3. Location

We don't like hoofing it to the DLH and PPH for meals. We love that Minnie's is right there in the Parks where we want to be. We usually go on a Magic Morning and do a bunch of rides and then head to Minnies for brunch.

As far as the food, the very last thing we go to DLR for is the food. At Minnies we just get made to order omelets, fruit and juice and the girls like the Mickey waffles.

We love Minnie's ~ always have the best character interaction there, the food is fine ~ breakfast food is hard to mess up IMO.

The location is deffo the reason Im interested in this one this year. We've always had to walk (drag) ourselves too far away for these meals.

Thanks for all the feedback!
:flower3:

My question is what is the Surfs Up with Mickey and Friends???? Breakfast? Where?

We did this twice when it was Lilo... and by far this is the fave of the kids! HANDS DOWN! Very fun atmosphere and I get great pictures every time.

We were at Minnies 3 weeks ago. We saw Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Chip, Dale, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother and Minnie. I thought it was fun and there was lots of interaction, specially cause we stayed longer than most (seems everyone was there for first seating), so all of a sudden the place was empty but there were still lots of characters. We got skipped by Tigger so we were waiting, and my son got a lot of time when he came back. I have videos of both of them hopping together everywhere, so cute.

I thought the food was good, I loved my made-to-order omelet and fruit, my son loved his mickey waffles and the fruit. I felt like the selection made it easy to be good and stick with a low-carb meal.

What time is the second seating at? What is the least crowded time to go??
Also is this one where you can walk in or not???

Sorry for all of the questions! Thanks!!

when we were there in oct of 08 it was good i don't think ive had bad food. I didn't like the princess meal because well I didn't like there menu but i liked minnie. Its my DH's fav meal the characters are well worth it

We are doing Minnie Breakfast too... I chose this because of the characters... my daughter is 2 and knows Minnie and Pooh and Tigger. Not a big princess person yet and hasn't really watched the long Disney movies yet but watches Pooh and Mickey's Playhouse... so I know she will love to see these characters. I already called and made reservations, I got the 8:10am slot so I'm very excited!!

We love Minnie!!!!! One of the BEST CB for our family. We loved the food, we ate so much at bfast (we did go late, 10:30 seating but we also got there early and they let us right in) that we didn't need to eat again until 6 that night! LOL Everything was delish, so fresh and yummy. We had eggs, we had pastries, we had juices, we had fruit, we had waffles, the kids also had cereal. Definitely one of our favorite places to have a character bfast. :)
