Minnesotan's Birthday Bash! - Pre Trip Report

[Minnesota]

Greetings and welcome to yet another Minnesotan's Trip Report. Pre Trip Report actually. Here are the details.

Who: Amanda (Me) and Saralyn (My Best Friend)
What: A Celebratory 21st Birthday for me and a belated birthday for Sara
When: August 15th-19th
Where: The night of the 15th we are at the Courtyard in Downtown Disney, the rest is at the All Star Sports Resort
Why: Where else would we spend our 21st Birthdays! and who wouldn't go back if they had the chance!

The Plan: (Drum roll please) Today we both worked, Me until 4 and Sara until 5 CST. I had to go home and pack everything and clean the house to leave. Sara being a bit more organized than I on this trip (Usually it is the other way areound but she likes to keep me guessing) Is already packed save a few last minute items she needs to buy so in a few minutes we are off to shopping! If everything goes to plan tomorrow, My Mother and I will be leaving our respective work places at 3pm. Mom will drive me from home to Sara's friend's apartment where she will be leaving her car for our pick up. From there Mom will drive us to the Minneapolis Airport for out flight leaving at 5:30pm. Unfortunatly this is the thick of Minneapolis rush hour. (Sorry Mom but thanks!) Once on the plane we transfer through Atlanta and then finally reach Orlando at about midnight. Then starts the vacation!

About us: We are Disney Fanatics as well as a Pharmacy Tech (me) and Marketing specialist (Sara). Sara already is 21 and I will be 21 while we are in Orlando. This is my 5th trip to WDW and Sara's 4th. It is out 4th Consecutive trip together as well. as members of the Disney Club we are trying to save as much as we can (Tuition is due just after we get home). Both of us Go to college her in the Minneapolis Area but different schools.

And that is about it! I'll write up the rest after we get back on the 19th! Any Questions, I'll check here tomorrow morning but otherwise they will have to wait for our return. See you all on the 19th

I can't wait to read your trip report!! You and Saralyn remind me of my friend Susan and I. We started making WDW trips together in 1987 while we were in college. I think we made 4 trips to WDW together between 1987-1992. Now we are both married and have husbands (and Susan has a little girl) that love WDW as much as we do!

Have a great trip! I wish we'd have discovered Disney World
at your age. We had to wait until we were in our late 30s and
had 4 kids. Now, of course, we're trying to bring them up
right and make up for lost time...so we have to keep going
back with our kids, now in their teens and mid-to-late twenties,
and now the grandkids. How lucky THEY are! We'll leave MSP
this time on 10/26, so we're not TOO far behind you!
