Karen! Good to see you again! I'm glad you will be able to join us! Looks like you went to the ground breaking of the new Twins stadium too! I was standing on 3rd base!

Hi Diane! :wave2:

Actually, I wasn't at the ground breaking, although I would have loved to! This pic is from a date Joe took me on this past summer - a quick weekend trip to Chicago to catch a game at Wrigley to watch the Cubs and Cards play. It was so much fun - great game, great place to watch a game.

I can't wait for outdoor baseball here!

Joe works right by the new stadium, so he sees the progress every day, which is cool.

We'll have to talk Twins at the meet! I'm so pumped for baseball season to start!

Hey everybody!! Ericka sent me the link for the meet. Any of the dates work for me. Can't wait to meet some new disers!!

Hi All!

Any of the dates works for me, as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

(Thanks, Erika, for letting me know about this!)

We live out in Morris, but it would be fun to make a day out of it with the kids at the Park of MOA. :)

Greg

I am in, would be great to meet other Minnesota Disney fans!!

Keep me posted, I put it on the calendar.

bumping it back up.
Any of the days would probably work for me (except the morning of March 15 - my DD has dance class that day).

Three of us could probably make all four dates. Where would everyone meet? When? How would we recognize each other? Is this a green rose on the left lapel affair?? Do we meet in the open Rotunda area near Underwater World? In front of the Disney Store?

We look forward to hearing.

that sounds like a fitting place.
I have a lime green Mickey head luggage tag that I put on my purse for our last WDW trip.

Nothing jumps out for us. Our daughter may wear her DVC hat. I still have a sweatshirt (in decent shape) from a 1994 trip. Perhaps a 'Year of a Million Dreams' luggage tag may end up on Mom's purse. We don't even know the date, time or place for sure, so there is time to agonize over choices.

We look forward to meeting people with common interests. That's always a good recipe for a pleasant afternoon!

I think I'm good for any date but the 16th. Is this just for MN DVC members, or any MN Dis'ers?

Erika--if you go, we should drive together because I am interested too. Any dates work for me except for the 29th or a Sunday morning. I am not a DVC owner either though I would like to be. Does that count??

Just back from our 11 day Disney trip, and it looks like the 29th is still the best day for most on the poll, so we should stick with that date. I also like the idea of meeting in front of the Disney store, but I think we should move to a nore condusive spot for chatting once we all meet. How about a time?

Welcome back! How about lunch somewhere?

Good idea, but since we don't know the size of the group and it will be a weekend, maybe we should just plan on an area in the food court. Maybe that lower spot off the south food court that steps down toward the park.

We could probably wait until we are closer to get a better count to say for sure? Should we link this to the community board for other MN DIS'ers to see? I look forward to seeing some of you again, and meeting others for the first time!

So Diane, how was your trip?

Yes, go ahead and link. My trip was wonderful, and I just did a report, so check it out on this Mousellaneous board.

I live in Rochester but won't be able to make it. I'd love to meet up with DISer's/DVCer's some other time.

Since the mall gets pretty crowded on weekends, maybe we should do a rather late lunch time. Then we don't have to worry as much about empty tables. I think that area would be a good place.

This is perhaps its own thread, but here goes.

I hear that Disney had an interest in the Park at the Mall of America when it was built. This may be a topic for discussion when the group meets. (The why's, why not's and what if's. . . )

Actually, Disney was one of the companies being approached to see if they wanted to sponsor the Park. They turned it down, not once, but twice. The regected the idea both at the begining of the project and again after the Knott's people left. That's why it is now run by Universal. BTW, I HATE the fact that they got rid of the "north woods" decor and opted for those bright Universal colors.
