Minne Marathon Team List

I feel like I am hijacking this thread lately...:flower3:

cdotla/Tricia, unless it is really difficult for you to pick up your race packet on Friday, I'd advise getting it the night before. There will not be the horrendous crowds like there were at Marathon weekend, and the expo at Minnie is nothing big, either. You can be in and out in 30 minutes, if you wanted to. This way you will have your bib that you can pin on the night before, your chip that you can attach to your shoe the night before, not stress about getting to the parking lot early enough to get all of you extra stuff done, sleep in (hah!) a little more... HTH! :goodvibes Anne

he he, ive been looking at past minnie photos and get all goosebumpy imagining myself there. It's just difficult not having any idea about the set up really. Ideally i would like a personal mickey who would collect me (oh and bunnyfoo!) take us to the start area to find you guys, then show us to toilet with no queue and finally stand us in the correct pacing section. What do you think the chances are? :rotfl:

Hmm... I could go for that :goodvibes We might need a really good fairy godmother to make that happen though

Comments from last. KNew I shouldn't have said that and, but it's still a sore spot. On the flip side, I hate when people leave me hanging and I apologize for that. :flowerfor: Before I say what she said, I e-mailed Disney last year adn tehy responded right away. GAve me a phone # to call and were very attentive. Said it was out of character fro her to insult anyone, but my comments would be passed on to her. First, she made a comment about how, at the marathon, how many not very fit people ran it. She meant it as a ocmplement :confused3 , but don't know any unfit people who could run a marathon. Ugh. Then, when she said what color flag fro what pace, she said something like and those people who are going to take a leisurely stroll between 12 and 15 mpm are at the (don't remember color) flag. So, posting about the flags brought it all back. FYI - SHe did not make any bad comments at marathon adn I am sure we will hear nothing like that this year.

joan - Give yourself a few days after the race to decide. POst-race 2006, I swore I'd never do another full again. lol.

Thanks so much Anne!! I don't have a green wish shirt, but i will find a way to sport something on me somewhere that is lime green! LOL I have my outfit already packed, and none of it is lime.. maybe for the next may one.. But, i will try to get one of those LGMH chips and pin it to my shirt or something! LOL

And my sis is doing the 15k, so i guess i can always admire her medal. ;)

Just an FYI...If you are into doing Iron-ons... If you go the Creative DISigns sections...in rumblytumbly's photo-bucket I THINK she has a lime-green mickey head. If you feel like doing a lime-green mickey head iron-on t-shirt...

I'm making shirts and I think I remember seeing that one.

Oh and if anyone is wondering how to say my screen name...

It's Poste S F (Poste is my last name, the e is silent and then my intials, S for Stacie F for Fulcher, my maiden name) Yeah, I wasn't very creative. It's my logon for everything at work...

Stacie

Ooops, You have me down for Minnie and I am not going to get to make it. I will be at John's Hopkins with my dad that weekend. He is having a last ditch surgery to try to remove some of the cancers that are causing him so much pain.

Believe me, I wish I was running Minnie...

Cecilia

Sorry, Cecilia!! WISHful thinking!! ;) pixiedust: pixiedust: for your dad!! Anne

Another question for all the veterans:

I am doing the *mighty* 5k (like that Anne? -LOL!).

Is there any reason to make a special trip to WWS on Friday to pick up my packet, or should I just pick it up the morning of the 5k in the parking lot?

Tricia FYI......The final instructions for the Minnie 15k say "No day of race packet pickup will be offered"
WHOOPS, NEVER MIND-THAT'S THE 15K--NOT THE 5K

Sorry to hear about your dad Cecilia  ... lots of pixiedust: pixiedust: for a quick recovery!

Cecilia - Oh no....Loads of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your pops.

Anne - Since you seem to be our Minnie Social Director.....:lmao: Has anyone called POR Food Court Manager and told him we were coming? I think Mel did that at PC in January and they appreciated it very much. :)

Probably not but I would think that ~35 people showing up is much better than ~100+.

I'll call and give them a heads up. :goodvibes

Was I talking to you??? :headache:

:lmao:

Just teasing! Hey, maybe there will be 100! 100 women! When word gets out that YOU will be there.... :rotfl:

Cecilia- we'll be thinking about you and you dad. Hope it goes well.

Those of you without WISH shirts- if you see someone in a WISH shirt, definitely say hi. I ran part of the marathon with Cecilia who was in a Team in Training shirt, and pretty much all of it from mile 7 on with Bree who wasn't in an official WISH shirt. I loved hanging out with them and wouldn't have met them without my glowing shirt! ;) I had never run with anyone before- it was really fun.

Fine be that way...:snooty:

When people find out I will be there, dinner will be nice and quiet since everyone will stay far far away. :lmao:

Bill

Cecilia -- we will miss you and keep you and your Dad in our prayers. Sending you huge hugs, sweetie!

We signed up for the 5K today so I will be doing both races now as well. I was getting anxious as the race filled up and decided to sign up at the last minute. Yay, more medals!

Robin

Am I the only one who does thier training on the "how far ahead of the sweeper" plan?

Today I was on the TM and at each mile and/or 15 mark I figured out how much of a pad I would have guilt up is this was the Minnie LOL!
