Minimum Points required?

Is the minimum number of points to join DVC still 150? I've seen points for resale (60-80 points) and thought that would be a good way to get started. I can't afford 150 at this time. I was just wondering if that was still the minimum.

To buy direct from DVC, the minimum is 150. You can buy less in a resale.

Just an FYI, you might quickly discove that 60 - 80 points is not a whole lot of points.

If you buy direct through Disney, you can use their financing whereas buying 3rd party usually requires outside financing or payment in full.

And Disney never turns anyone down, even if your credit could be better. Disney might require 20% down instead of the usual 10% if credit isn't too good, though.

Just remember also that those smaller resale contracts will still have some pretty hefty closing costs attached to them that buying direct will not have.
