both are good but i picked winter summerland because of the theme. uit is nicely themed, especially the winter side. fantasia is also good just not as themed.

I've played the Summer course at Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens. I loved them both! WS is definately more shaded and easier to get to but Fantasia Gardens was so much fun and much prettier than I expected. Either one is a great choice but if you have kiddos with you, I think WS is the better option. I played WS with my kids and Fantasia when DH and I were at Disney for our anniversary.

I've played them all, and my personal vote goes to Fantasia Gardens. I think it has the best theme and the coolest special effects. It is pretty challenging, though, so I can see that those with little kids might find Winter Summerland a better choice. You really can't go wrong, you're mini-golfing in Disney :thumbsup2

My reviews of Mini golf at WDW: If you are a golfer and have your own putter with you, go to the Fairways at Fantasia Gardens. It is the only true challenge. Originally made to resemble famous golf holes from courses around the PGA tour, it now has been updated to make the course more playable. It still will push many to the 6 stroke limit on many holes but aces can be made. My family plays at least one round every trip. DW and I have chosen it as our favorite course in Florida. The other courses are designed for kids and families. Featuring 2 courses that are mirrors of each other, Winter Summerland is themed beautifully. Kids will love it but real golfers will have issues with the supplied clubs. Fantasia Gardens course has many unique holes but it is still more luck than skill for those real golfers who come. Kids will love the themed courses and if you are an annual pass-holder you get half price at any of these course for up to a party of 5. Next week my Family is spending a few days together before our son heads back to Iraq. We are having a putting tournament over 3 days and plan a bigger version for his return next Xmas (2011). Next winter is also a wedding so we will have 20 or more in our tournament. Photos and a review will follow. Nest we plan on using a World Putting League course to play on real grass greens for more family and friends. enjoy.
Check out flminigolfreview.com for more info and pictures of the course.

Thank You

we enjoyed the trip to fantsia gardens as much as playing mini golf

its not that its complicated yuo just have to get tot he swan and dolphin and thats easy

take the bus to dhs and then the boat from dhs to the swan and dolphin and walk across the street

we walked across ogt our tee time and came back tot he swan and dolphin and had lunch out side by the pool

and then after you are done you can just wal right over and enjoy the boardwalk

we threw in a trip over to ft wilderness and the contemporary that day too it was a great adventure on disney trasportation

I put my vote in for Fantasia Gardens. We really enjoyed it.

DH and I have spent many afternoons as Fantasia Gardens.

It seems to be more quiet than the others. We ususally visit on an off-park day and default to Fantasia Gardens because we stay at EPCOT resorts.

If you ever see 2 or 3 50-somethings laughing until they have to sit down....it very may be US. We always have so much fun there.

We no longer live in the parks from morning until midnight. Fantasia Gardens is one of our favorite non-park events.

Fantasia Gardens. It's a little harder but a lot of fun! The themeing is great and for my friends and I (all in our mid 20's) it's a good time.

last time my friend and I had a family of six in front of us of all ages. They actually made us have more fun! We all would give each other a hard time/cheer if you missed or got a hold in one. It was fun and we were happy to meet new people. Though be warned with any mini golf you can get a family in front of you with little ones and it will take forever. My advice would be to ask if you can jump in front of them so they are not rushed and can take their time. More then likely they will not mind.

Fantasia for the non oxymoron themeing.

wow, I can't believe that most people chose Fantasia Gardens over Winter Summerland.

My guess as to why is b/c most people have trouble getting to Winter Summerland so they don't go there - Fantasia Gardens is right across from the Swan/Dolphin so you can reach it more easily.

Anyhow, we've played both and found that Winter Summerland is much more fun. Fantasia Gardens is kind of blah and a lot of the special disney effects aren't working anymore. ALso, the statues are all white so the course isn't colorful at all which did not appeal to us.

Winter Summerland on the other hand is silly and full of color & most (if not all) of the special effects work. It also weirdly puts you in a Christmas mood no matter what time of year it is.

Highly recommend WS over FG! :thumbsup2

My trip is on the 18th of this month and my mom and I will be staying at the Yacht Club. Last year my cousins and I played at the Winter Summerland course and I really enjoyed the Winter side. But since we will be staying so close to the Fantasia course, we definately want to try that. Could anyone tell me how much the Fantasia course costs we recieved one coupon from AAA for planning our trip with them.

Thank You everyone for such great feedback. Judging from the comments and the now dead even poll it looks like we will flip a coin to determine where we go. Looks like a "no lose" situation.

If you have young kids, do WinterSummerland
If you have teenagers or are going without kids, do Fantasia Gardens.

WinterSummerland holes are all sunk into the ground, so if you get close to the hole it goes in. I had something like 5 hole-in-ones on that course. It sounds fun until you realize that you're stuck bored waiting for the people in front of you to finish. More fun to take 3 swipes at a ball and get it in, with no wait to the next hole :)

We've done all of them as well and hands down return every trip to WInter/Summerland. And we play BOTH sides. :thumbsup2 We all stin at mini-golf so we're not looking for a challenge. just for fun and photo ops! :goodvibes W/S is bright and lively in theming. It has all the moving parts and humor that we, as children, liked the most about a mini-golf course. It's just so *Disney*! GREAT photo ops and great scrapbook fodder w/ all the color and "architecture". :thumbsup2 One huge perk for us now owning at AKV is it's right down the road from our resort! Ya-hoo! Don't think we didn't think about that when we bought in. :rolleyes1 ;)

I should add as well that we only seem to go at night when it's dark. Everything is lit up and magical. And oddly, when we go, it's never busy. Luck I think. Knocking on wood. :)

Adults $12.52 per round including tax.

Kids ages 3-9 $10.39 per round including tax.

Thx for posting this....I had NO idea Disney had mini golf. My Nephew wanted to go mini golfing on our trip next week and wasn't sure where to go. This makes my decision easy.

Told Mom about it last night and was saying the prices are probably "too high" so I am pleased with those prices. That is not terrible at all. I may end up doing both places but Mom seems to want to go to Fantasia more.

Very cool thx again!! :cloud9:

LOVED Winter-Summerland. The humor in the signs is just right up our alley. Haven't yet done Fantasia.

Oh, and with an AP, it's 50% off! woo hoo!
