I have searched (not super hard) for Dis info on the Mini-Golf courses @ WDW. I am curious, if you had to choose one to go to, which one would you choose and more importantly, why?:confused3 The fam and I are going to see the Mouse on 11/28 until 12/08 and have a "not goin to the parks" day in which we want to use some free passes we have for WDW mini-golf.

We enjoyed the winter side of WinterSummerland last October. The course is not too challenging and fun to walk around the winter scenes with Christmas music playing in the background. We went in the evening when it got a little cooler out. I got some great pictures for our Christmas cards.

Never been to Winter Summerland. We went to Fantasia Gardens in October 2008. I wish we would have called first because a lot of the holes were being refurbished/repaired. You could still play on them but a lot of the cool features were missing...detracted from the Disney magic somewhat to see the space where the Sorceror Mickey statue is supposed to be is just a blank slate with a pole sticking up.

Just giving you a heads up that you may want to contact the courses during your stay before you head over to make sure everything is up and running.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip....

I've played all 4 Disney mini golf courses. The one with the best Disney theme is fantasia. Winter/Summer are both fun and have good themes just not as good as Fantasia in my opinion. The hard course at Fantasia is just that a hard course without disney themeing. So I vote for Fantasia. :thumbsup2

We didn't get to go mini-golfing but had planned to go to the Fantasia one...

Until we arrived on property and realized -- using the WDW transportation -- how complex and time consuming it was going to be to get there. Had we gone we'd have, instead, gone to WinterSummerland with the decision being made purely on convenience/ease of travel.

I have never been to Fantasia but we went to Winter Summerland. We have played on both courses and I think the better of the 2 is Winter side. The last time we went to the summer side because there was no wait and we found out why. It is not as "fun" for our family of 2 DSs.

Winter/summer land is so cute - I think we did like winter better because of the Christmas part. Don't know if they still offer it, but when we played many years ago they gave 1/2 off the second course if you'd play them both. If still available & you do both, do summer first.

Easier to go if you have your own car for sure. If not, you will have to take the bus to Blizzard Beach & then walk over to the course.

Without a car, it is probably easier to go to Fantasia. You can walk across the street to it from the Swan/Dolphin resort pool area. If not staying in the boardwalk resort area, easiest way would be to take your resort bus to DHS, then catch the boat over to the Swan/Dolphin. Or if you are spending the day at EPCOT, go through to the exit near France/England & take the boat over to the Swan/Dolphin. You can also walk from DHS or Epcot but it's not a short walk!

If you're wanting to mini-golf as something to do for a non-park day, an advantage to choosing Fantasia (which is also very cute) is that you can always opt to have a lunch or dinner at one of the boardwalk area resturants, including the ESPN club where DH opted to wait while we golfed. DS wanted to golf, DH wanted a pitcher of beer. They were both happy :rotfl2:

Fantasia is a better course--but if you get some little kids ahead of you, it can take what seems like hours to play. There are a # of holes where you need to hit the ball up a ramp and we've seen families with kids who take up to 50 swats at the ball before finally giving up.
So when we play Fantasia we make certain there are no families with small children anywhere in front of us.

One of our family WDW traditions is to play one round on Fantasia Fairways each trip. We love the challenge of that course. Yes, there is no theming, but playing at night you have music playing, plus if you play when Fantasmic at DHS is being shown, you can hear most of the show.

We have golfed all four courses and really like Fantasia Gardens because it is more of a challenge. Winter/Summerland is really cute, but a lot easier. Depending on the age of your children, that may make the decision easier. Also, if you are going during the day vs night. During the day just take the bus to Blizzard Beach for Winter/Summerland. At night you need a car. Fantasia day or night you need to get to Swan/Dolphin and walk across the street or if you have a car drive directly there. The theming at all are very nice. You can't go wrong with any of them.

On our most recent trip to WDW my family went to fantasia gardens and had great time. the course was a little bit difficult but the theme of it was amazing!

I've played them all and my vote goes to Fantasia Gardens -- for all the above mentioned reasons! I do want to mention that after visiting both places during a recent June trip, I found there is a lot more shade at Winter/Summerland. Needing a break from the hot sun should not be a factor for a November trip, so I'd definitely recommend Fantasia. Enjoy! :)

We've played 3 of them (not the hard Fantasia Gardens one). Winter Summerland is easier and shadier, but feels more crowded / scrunched up to me.

Been to both, and definitely prefer Winter Summerland. Courses are much more fun and themed, and when I went to Fantasia in March it seemed run-down. I love the Christmas music and lights at Winter Summerland. Have fun!

I prefer Winter Summerland. We have played all 4 courses and this is my favourite. I prefer the Winter side to Summer. I find this course to be more interactive and fun to play. :)
