I'm always trying to plan something new for our next trip, and my kids (10, 7 and 7) are at the right age to try a round or two of miniature golf.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get to the miniature golf courses at WDW via Disney transit? If so, directions would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Fantasia Gardens is right next to the Dolphin, so I think you'd want to catch a bus that goes to the Swan/Dolphin.

Winter Summerland is next to Blizzard Beach, so I think that's the bus you'd want.

If I'm wrong, someone else can surely jump in to correct me. :)

Disney World has two miniature golf course destinations.
Winter Summerland - Two 18 hole themed courses. Both are themed after Christmas, Santa Claus, and his elves.
You can get to Winter Summerland by taking a Disney motorcoach to Blizzard Beach. Once you exit the bus follow the path next to the Blizzard Beach parking lot to the mini golf clubhouse.

Fantasia Gardens - Two 18 hole courses. One is themed after Fantasia Mickey and the Fantasia movie. The other course is long, more difficult course with sand traps and rough.
Your best bet to get to Fantasia Gardens is take a bus to one of the Boardwalk area resorts (Beach Club or Boardwal, Swan/Dolphin), walk through the Swan or Dolphin resort. You will have to cross a street via a crosswalk. Fantasia Gardens is across the street from the Swan and Dolphin resorts. You can also take a bus to Hollywood Studios and catch the boat to the Swan & Dolphin resorts and cross the street to the mini golf course.

After reading up a few articles online, I'm thinking these might be too hard for my kids. Opinions?

I haven't been to Winter Summerland yet, but at Fantasia - just make sure to get the fun side - with all the characters. The other side is more like a miniature golf course and IMO, not much fun.

I think your kids would prob enjoy WinterSummerland a little more than Fantasia Gardens, or at least mine does. It's a little more cartoon-y with more interactive holes while Fantasia seemed more straight forward and a little more challenging.

I've played Winter Summerland (both courses) and Fantasia Gardens (Fairways). The Fairways course at Fantasia Gardens is definitely too hard for kids. It's like a reguar golf course but in miniature size, like with hills, bunkers etc. Pretty tough.

Both courses at Winter Summerland are more like regular miniature golf courses.

The 2nd course at Fantasia Gardens looks more like a regular miniature golf course, but I haven't played it so I cannot speak to it's level of difficulty.

I just want to add that getting to Winter Summerland may be more difficult if you plan to play in the evening. There won't be buses running to Blizzard Beach after they are closed.

I think your kids would do fine at Winter/Summerland. My kids like that one the best. If you have an annual pass, there is a good discount....

DVC has a discount for mini golf too. We love the summer side of Wintersummerland.

For the golfers out there who get frustrated everytime they play miniature golf because of the rubber putters and bouncy balls. Fantasia Fairways allows you to bring and play with your own putter and ball. The course if fun and challenging.

I've played Fantasia Gardens years ago, and I found it to be very challenging, except for one hole where just about everyone got a hole in one. There was one hole where I had to try a zillion times to get the shot off the tee!

I haven't played Winter Summerland, but I hear it's a bit easier.
