Mini Wedding Cakes Grand Floridian

Has anyone ever ordered a mini wedding cake at the Grand Floridian Bakery? I'm trying to think of a dessert I can order to surprise my daughter on our trip. We have tried the Cinderella's slipper and she did not care for the white chocolate. I thought I read something about ordering small cakes. I'm thinking something for just one or two people--not a big cake. If so, any idea how much it cost?

I ordered one for our Oct/Nov trip for our dinner at the GF 1900 Park Fare.

It was $25. They gave me a couple of choices of flavors and styles. I, of course, got chocolate with a choc Castle on top. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious.

There was no extra charge for the name on the plate.

Yes, it is actually $25. They make them for weddings but you can special order them.

They as far as I know are only made by the GF bakery and they cannot be delivered to other resorts, but you can probably order it and arrange to pick it up.

You can also order a 6 inch round cake for around $60. We were married at the wedding pavillion in July 2003 and I can tell you the cakes are well worth the price.

Our cake had butter cream frosting and the layers had rasberry mousse and white chocolate mousse filling. Yumm!

I called the Poly and the GF and got quotes for a 10 inch round topped by a 6 inch round with a choc castle on top and the quote from Poly was 87.50 and the quote fron the GF was 325.00!
Any other price quotes out there??

I called 407-824-2978 and I believe that it's 1900 Park Fare's direct number. They can place the order unless you order the mini cakes. I ordered the slipper and a mini cake so they transferred me to the GF bakery. He said if I was only ordering the slipper and dog bones he could have placed the order.

I also have the GF Main number which is 407-824-3000 and you can ask them for the GF Bakery or for the restaurant you want to have the dessert at.

Are the cakes from the Poly iced with buttercream or the "wedding" fondent (sp?)? I have ordered cakes at Ohana's and they were good, but they definately didn't look like the ones at the GF.

The price they quoted you for the cake at the GF includes a white choclate cake topper that costs $125.

Pictures 26 and 27 show a good view of the cake that you would receive for $325. We had 25 people at our reception and had more cake left than we knew what to do with.

I am so confused. I am not really sure WHAT I am getting for a cake. I got 2 different prices. I only asked for a cake that would feed at least 8 people and that was more special then your average 8 inch round cake with a "Happy Birthday" thrown on it.
It is my daughters, mother's birthday and MY wedding anniversary on the exact same day and wanted a nice cake. I am not sure if 87.00 is what I wanted to to spend though.....

We ordered a 2 tier aniversary cake for my parents in March from GF bakery. It was an 10 inch with 6 inch tier. Beautifully decorated. One layer was filled with chocolate mouse, the other with strawberry. The cake cost $132 with tax and we had to pick it up at the bakery ourselfs. It was the best cake We have every had and worth every penny to see my parents face when they saw it.

Just ordered a 6" butter creme vanilla cake from the GF bakery for our 15th anniversary dinner at Narcossee. Price quoted: $12.50.

Wow,that's cheap! My cake was $25 but maybe it's because I had the choc castle on top??
