"Mini" SUV's?

DH has an Escape and we love it. Had it for over 2 years now. He an Explorer before and that one had tranny problems.

thanks for all the info! i always appreciate hearing from someone who has 'been there, done that'. the escape is sounding better than the sportage, definitely, and the honda even better! i've looked at some cars, but dh and kids want an SUV, so i'm outvoted. oh well, i drive a truck anyways, so it's just as well. any other thoughts out there? TIA!

I don't know your family size, but a mini SUV isn't very big. I had a Blazer, traded it for a KIA sportage. It is a cute little SUV. I HATE it. It has no get up and go, is bumpy and has lots of noises that I don't like at all. I wish I would have went for a larger SUV and would never have a sportage again. If you have a family, I think you will be unhappy with a small SUV. I would go for a medium size. I am looking to trade soon and taking the hit from this KIA to get out of it.
Best of luck whatever you decide, but drive them all before you make your final decision. There is a good reason KIAs have the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty
