How about if we plan a mini Dis meet on 10/31 at the BWV. The past few years they have thrown a Halloween party (dressing up trick or treating at the shops, DJ, other stuff) on 10/31. Then everyone could pick one of the preceeding evenings to do the MNSSHP at the MK and everyone could celebrate Halloween TWICE!!!! If we do the BWV thing it won't be as crowded as meeting at the parks and it still is great fun.

Give me your thoughts.......

That does sound like it could be fun! We were really planning on going to MNSSHP on Halloween, but as long as there's another earlier in our trip, I think we could be persuaded. I know DS wouldn't mind getting another day's use out of his costume, and he always loves to go to BW!

It's so much fun seeing everyone all dressed up! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

We found out about this party when we were there in 2000. We had tickets for MNSSHP so we only got to do party of it.... So, this year we planned on MNSSHP on a night before 10/31 and the BWV party on Halloween. Kids are excited to dress up twice. The MNSSHP was great and they are very excited to go again.

I figure the party at the BWV would be small enough to actually get to spend time meeting everyone....

I sure would be game for it! I'll have to talk to my girls about it though. I'd mentioned once about doing MNSSHP on a night other than Halloween night and they said they'd rather do it on THE NIGHT. But, since this means there will actually be 2 parties, they probably would go for it. I don't think I'd like to dress up twice though, so you might just get the real me.......that's scary enough though!

What a wonderful idea! I didn't know that the Boardwalk had Halloween stuff going on, and I am perfectly willing to go to MNSSHP the day before Halloween, and then meet up with other people who love Disney on Halloween itself.

We don't have kids, and I don't know if we are going to wear costumes or not(smile), but it sounds like a lot of fun!

DH and I will be there! It's just the two of us and we're staying at BWV, so should work out perfectly. We were already planning MNSSHP for prior to 10/31 as we heard it's quite a zoo that night.

We don't have kids either, Figaro, and we're definitely dressing up. I expect to see you in costume!

Zurg's costume was sooooo good 2 years ago he's afraid he won't be able to top it.... Both of us adults dress up and the kids...So, don't be afraid to dress up if your an adult...it makes it take much more fun.....

For now, please put me down as a maybe. 10/31 is my favorite day of the year and thus I have a couple tentative things planned already -- MNSSHP & a Gifts Of A Lifetime event (not sure what day yet but Halloween will be its theme so it might be on that day). Of course I haven't done the events at the BW yet, so that definitely sounds like fun, too (and I am a DVC member). Hhhmmmm...

Well, I mentioned to my spouse that we "might" dress up for Halloween. He didn't come right out and say no and I do have a bit of time to work on him (smile). I will have to think about what to wear....might be fun to be a princess, but I'm probably getting too old for that (47) now(smile).

You can count on us as well. DH and I are so excited about our first Halloween at Disney. Is there anything at MNSSHP on Halloween that is not offerred on the other nights of MNSSHP? DH and I are currently on a waiting list for BWV for 10/27-11/01. That would be so great if we were right there for the party. If not we will be at one of the other DVC's...hoping to get BCV if cannot get the BWV. Send me some pixie dust for the Boardwalk wait list please. We can book our alternate choices in just a few days.

This might work for the two of us also. We are DVC and will be at BWV then. We always visit this time of year and we bring our costumes and attend MNSSHP, but this will be our first time at BWV this time of year.

Ubetiski, I have done MNSSHP on both Halloween evening and non-Halloween evening. Both nights were identical. I just happen to think the party is cooler on the actual evening of Halloween, but that's because that night is my favorite night of the year (that says a lot about my personality).

Okay, gang, what would the schedule be like for our Dis mini-meet? Since I have never done the activities at the BW on Halloween evening before, I have no clue as to what time they start, etc. If someone can fill in the blanks for me, I would love to hear all about it.

It looks like I won't be able to do Halloween at the Boardwalk after all. The girls would rather do MNSSHP on Halloween night, plus, after playing around with out tentative itinerary, I can't get it to work. The girls are doing SW/Discovery Cove that week too and those dates are set b/c I have made ressies for DC. They have plans to meet up with DD's father who lives in FL (my X) at SW one day. The only way I've been able to plan anything this early is b/c I can count on MNSSHP being on Thurs. night.

I would LOVE to meet you guys though. Maybe we can get together on an Illuminations cruise or something. Zurgswife, I would especially like to meet you b/c from your picture, you look familiar, like someone I should already know! Plus, my 6yr old DGD would love to play with your girls! Hopefully, something will fall into place! I'll be wearing the lime green ribbon and keeping an eye out for ya!

I am really looking forward to a Halloween meet on the Boardwalk. We are going to go to MNSSHP on one of the earlier dates. And I told my spouse that we would trick or treat at the Magic Kingdom and then bring the candy along to hand out at the Boardwalk(smile). My spouse has agreed to wear a costume, so I have been looking around on eBay trying to get a few ideas for the two of us.

Spring hasn't sprung here in Minnesota, and spending time thinking about being where it is sunny and warm (even if it isn't until October) has been a lot of fun.
