Mini Bar?

Planning a trip with our first time to stay on site (AKL -regular room). I see there is a mini fridge in the rooms, but will it be filled with stuff from the mini bar that would cost me 10$ per bottle if I just touch it (you know - like what happens at big city hotels). I will want to fill it with my own water. What can I expect? TIA

No. There is no mini bar in any Disney room.

No, the mini fridge will be empty. You can fill it with water or whatever else your heart (or stomach) desires.

Most resort shops, at least at the Deluxes (can't speak to the others) sell cases of Dasani for a very un-Disney price... like $6.99 (don't quote me on that exact price).

That would help. We will fly SW and could check a bag of food for free. But it would be nice not have to pack a bag of water.

There was no minibar when we stayed at AKL in April 2016. Just a regular mini fridge that was empty.
