Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Oh, how I would love to be in the Magic Kingdom right now! :)
Yummy Confectionery pictures. popcorn::
This update made me so excited for Thanksgiving! Can't wait for more. :goodvibes

I would love to be on Main Street USA right now. I haven't been to WDW since Feb./March when you all were there. How many times have you been since then Memom? ;) We had been thinking about going back around the same time in 2012, but if we go in at the beginning or Dec. we could go for $600 less. So we will either go in Dec. or wait until next Dec.

We love Monsters Inc Laugh Floor! We see it at least once each trip but have the best memories from our July 2010 trip when we saw the show with tinkgurl and her family!

I agree with Kristen. The night we all went to the show was hilarious! It's always the moment I remember whenever I see anything about it.

Yum! The Confectionary! I am trying to remember the smells...:cloud9: Do you ever notice that? Different parts of WDW have different "smells" to them? Then, it's something you always remember? Heck, I'll even smell or hear one of the city transporation buses going by and close my eyes and pretend it's a WDW bus.

Aahh I will be seeing that beautiful Main St. on Thursday. MeMom look for some texts from me on your phone.:goodvibes

Wow you got some great photos inside Buzz. My pictures always seem to come out blurry but I just got a new Canon (idea from Poolrat) and I am hoping to get some GREAT pictures & videos.:thumbsup2

I just saw your ticker!!!! Oh you will get some great practice with that new camera. You will have to show us.

Safe Trip.

*********************************

Thanks for the trip down Main Street. I really like that flip flop cookie.

I love Monsters Inc laugh floor! We went four times in a row one night, in August. It makes me laugh so hard.

I'm a long time reader, I LOVE your trip reports! I've never had an account to be able to reply though.. So now, here I am! I actually left Disney a few days before you all got there for this trip.

A fellow Tennessean:cool1::cool1:. We have quite a few that are Memom and Jill followers.

Hi...it's the middle of the night and I am the only one up around here....:rotfl:

I laid down after work and fell asleep, so now I'm wide awake. :confused3

Perfect time to get caught up as work has been very busy.
I will be working 6 days a week from now until my Christmas break. With Sundays off.

I will be so ready to have some fun and unwind by then in WDW.

We went to the States after work Saturday night and stayed over. It was fun to shop and swim. Dinner was at the Texas Roadhouse. Yumm!
I popped into Cracker Barrel and came out with a couple bags of stuff. I love that store! They have the neatest things in there and it smells sooo amazing!

I picked up some things for Christmas. :santa:
I did get a Minnie & Mickey wreath & a cute sleigh with some plush characters at Kmart.
Disney wrapping paper & tags at Walmart.
We came home with a full trunk of stuff.

I realized the other day that there are only 8 Sundays before Christmas...time is going by so fast!

I'm so excited about NYE...do you want me to see if I can add you to our reservation for 'Ohana's?
8:00pm may be too late for the girls to eat though.

While you are at 'Ohana with Wig'd on the 29th we will be attending our first Candlelight Processional. :)

Take Care, I'm going to try and go back to sleep now.
Hope the student teacher will make your life easier & better at school.

Morning on Main Street! Just what I needed! :goodvibes

I love walking on Main Street and getting lucky enough to run into the Dapper Dans or the Mayor and some of the citizens. Takes me back to a time I only have known on old movies, but I love it.

I love the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor - I know the jokes are so corny but I think they're so funny! (Probably why I love the Muppets so much as well...)

I fear that roaming camera. ;)
I like seeing the show, though. :thumbsup2

I love to start my day off with a little Main Street, especially one of those flip flop cookies, how cute!

Yes, we are in the new place. We moved all weekend. Today is the BIG ultrasound day where we get to find out if we are having a princess: or pirate:. I am VERY excited. :dance3:

Will we be decorating our DIStown white picket fences with pink or with blue? That is the question. Answer to come this weekend? :lovestruc

Lucky girl! You enjoy every second of your trip! :woohoo:

I am hoping to upgrade my camera by the Christmas trip, but it might have to wait until income tax time.

We love Monsters Inc Laugh Floor! We see it at least once each trip but have the best memories from our July 2010 trip when we saw the show with tinkgurl and her family!

OMG, the Confectionary pictures have my stomach growling, even at 9:20 in the morning! :lovestruc:cloud9:

It's a good thing the bakery I pass on the way to school isn't open yet when I go by. Krispy Kreme, however, is, and once every couple of months, I go by and pick up donuts for the second grade team or the office staff. It smells so good!

So glad you and Brooklyn had a good time. I am sure there were some lasting memories made!!!

I know there were on my part. I loved my time with her, and now I miss her so much more after having had her all to myself for those five days.

Oh what I wouldn't do for a treat from the confectionary today! One of those big rice krispie treats would really hit the spot right now! And you know, it always makes me laugh that you take pictures while you're on Buzz! I am always far too into the game to think of photography! :)

I brought back a krispy treat covered in m&m's for my guidance counselor who has become Disney crazy since her son took her to WDW about a year or so ago. She wants to go back so badly. Her son proposed to his fiance at WDW a few months ago, and he is getting married in Aulani next year.

I take pictures on every ride that they are allowed on. I'm not much of a game player. On Toy Story Midway Mania, I sometimes put the 3D glasses over the camera lens and take pictures. :upsidedow

I absolutely love the way that Disney CMs play and interact with the guests, while waiting. That's what makes Disney so special I think. Those treats sure look yummy! :goodvibes

I would like that job. ::yes::

Looking at the pictures makes me wish I had some Butterfinger fudge. :goodvibes

Gosh, I had a lot of catching up to do! You guys are always so busy over here! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear that you hit some rough waters on your trip with Kay. I also hope that she eventually can remember the fun times (even though I know it is tough in the heat of the moment).

Those treats from the bakery look delish! In fact, it might motivate me to go make some brownies while DS is still napping. I think that would be a nice surprise for DH and really hit the spot, yummy! :)

You will share your brownies with your neighbors, of course??? :)

I haven't talked to Kay in the past couple of days. It will be interesting to hear her recollection of the trip once things have settled down.

Thanks for sharing those lovely MK pictures.Thats just what i want to be looking at. Instead i am looking out at a cold night and a bad storm.:sad2:I really hope your student Teacher is going to be a big help to you and makes your job a bit more bearable.:)

It was a beautiful day here, but we have rain on the way, I believe.

I think the student teacher will be a big help when he gets to be more comfortable with the younger kids. He wants to teach 5th - 6th, and he's not too used to the younger ones. They are very needy, and tha is surprising him a little, but he will get used to it and may decide he really likes the younger ones.

Oh, how I wish I was walking down Main Street right now! Since we are going to Universal and SeaWorld next trip, I'm not sure when I will be walking down the middle of Main Street, USA again. It makes me so sad.

I hope your student teacher works out great for you. Just having a male presence around usually helps.

Yes, a couple of the boys have really taken to him. It's great for them to have good male role models. He may get lucky in getting a job, too, as one of our third grade teachers is leaving in a couple of weeks, and we have one that will be out after February on maternity leave.

I don't think I could be so close to WDW and not go there. You are stronger than I am.

So....I have been keeping up on Facebook but I have been SO insanely busy! Community college last year is SO much different from living on campus now! I have class 5 day's a week (18 credits) and between studying and trying to find a job and party a little bit, I have had no time to DIS :( I am very glad to be able to be back on here!!! I've missed you all!!!!

Sounds like you have been the good kind of busy. ENjoy this time at school - before the real world really hits.

Love these morning updates! Always nice to wake up to a little bit of Rozz, a dash of Buzz and DISNEY! lol (Yes, I read this in the morning and am only replying 12 hours later, shush!) Big :thumbsup2 to the two attractions I'm sure you know I was referencing too. Great pictures of Main Street and the Confectionary! Love the CM throwing the Frisbee, always nice to see them do stuff like that.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Main Street USA is a wonderful place to hang out. :goodvibes

I got my camera through Best Buy & used the 18 month interest free deal. So I am just taking the total cost & dividing it up so no interest. Just an idea.

You should get a text from me around 4:00 today!!:goodvibes

This update made me so excited for Thanksgiving! Can't wait for more. :goodvibes

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving trips. We've been once near Thanksgiving and once on Thanksgiving.

I'd love to be back in the Magic Kingdom. I know I just left, but Christmas will be just as welcomed as any other trip, and of course it will be decorated so beautifully when we return.

I would love to be on Main Street USA right now. I haven't been to WDW since Feb./March when you all were there. So we will either go in Dec. or wait until next Dec.

I'll have to think about it. We went for F&G and for summer and just now. I would ideally like four trips a year, but I could possibly live on three. At two, I might start fizzling out.

$600 is a lot of money! I hope you get to go this year. ::yes::

I agree with Kristen. The night we all went to the show was hilarious! It's always the moment I remember whenever I see anything about it.

Yes, there are distinct smells all around WDW, including the resorts. Pop Century's lobby always smells like chocolate chip cookies to me.

If I hear a bus outside the Walmart I stop at early in the mornings sometimes as I go to school, I definitely think Disney thoughts! :goodvibes That city bus does not know what happiness it brings me as I hear its noises.

I just saw your ticker!!!! Oh you will get some great practice with that new camera. You will have to show us.

Safe Trip.

Sorry for that 6 days a week working situation. You will sure enjoy your days off! I work on weekends, too, but I try to choose either Saturday or Sunday to totally ignore school work for my own sanity.

It's okay about 'Ohana. Trent and Jarvis and maybe Drew will arrive on the 29th, so they will get to eat there. We'll just wing it on NYE. We will probably take the guys to a resort that they might not have eaten at or just go to one we know they like. We like counter service at Carribean Beach, so we might go there. They have good chicken and sides.

8 weekends does put it into persective, doesn't it? Good thing we are not doing much Christmas this year, other than the trip. :santa: I would probably not be very prepared.

Sounds like you had a fun shopping trip. :dance3:

Checking to see if I needed to call Disney Dining....:)

I'm sure you will enjoy whatever yummy food you decide on.
I haven't made it over to the Caribbean Beach yet.
We should give it a try sometime.

The guys will LOVE 'Ohana! ::yes::

Sounds like you will have all your loved ones with you again, including Jarvis.
I'm sure you are very happy about that. :goodvibes

Have a great day at school. :teacher:

Good morning! Just checking in. Love the pics of Main Street. We have a busy week ahead. Can't wait till our trip! Good luck with the student teacher. Cooper's started today. I am sure his teacher is enjoying the help also.

Still on page 81, but just friend requested both MeMom and Jill on FB.

I have been following your reports for a couple of years now, I should post more!

I love reading along with your family! We should try to plan a meet sometime, I live right outside of Memphis (in Oakland) and my DMomma lives in Franklin! I have a friend that I grew up with on these boards too, she would probably love a Dismeet too!

I got my camera through Best Buy & used the 18 month interest free deal. So I am just taking the total cost & dividing it up so no interest. Just an idea.

I did that with my laptop. No interest works for me. :thumbsup2

I got your picture. I was at school, and boy, oh boy, did I wish I was standing there right in front of that fountain!!!

I think we'll be okay. Thanks for the offer, though.
I don't know where we will end up that night, but if we're just doing counter service, we're not locked into any times, so it's all good.

Jarvis is looking very forward to going back. I hope Drew can/will go, but I'm not counting on it. He goes out of town a lot with his BMX shows and photography.

This was a jam-packed day that ended with a faculty meeting and two hours of working on evaluation stuff. I look forward to Friday at 3:15. ::yes::

Good morning! Just checking in. Love the pics of Main Street. We have a busy week ahead. Can't wait till our trip! Good luck with the student teacher. Cooper's started today. I am sure his teacher is enjoying the help also.

My guy is 22, and he's not real comfortable with the little ones yet. I hope he'll feel more at ease after a couple of weeks.

What does Cooper think of his? Is his a guy, too? I am glad for my boys to have a young man around.

Whenever we get to Memphis Zoo again, we will let you know. Maybe Ty's Nonnie could come, too.

Did someone say 8 weekends until Christmas? :scared1:

Getting ready for a Disney trip can really be a distraction! :rolleyes1

Your distraction is so much better than mine! Mine is school, school, school.
Disney planning would be a much happier distraction. ::yes::

Yep, you caught me napping when you called today... Hunter was sleeping so I just HAD to lay down with him.

It's marathon week here, Monday night class, Tuesday night conferences, Thursday, conferences all day and evening. Luckily we have Friday off. A year ago we were getting ready to leave for Disney!

Anyway, so glad our topic of conversation has worked itself out and everything is in the clear!

Same for me - tutoring Tuesday and Thursday, faculty meeting Wednesday, Math Night tonight, and staying every night after most of those things to do all of my observation paperwork. After next week, the observation part will be finished until after Christmas, thank heavens!!!

I was so relieved to get that text from Jackie! Talking to you must have been the good luck charm that I needed. I'll tell the whole story to everyone when I have time.
It's been a little stressful.

************************************************

The rest of this Disney day was spent hanging out at Pop Century.

Tanya came over to visit for a little while.

DisneySummer20112ndset746.jpg

Of course, Brooklynn thinks she is big stuff now that she is a semi-swimmer, so she always has to go to the big pools now.

DisneySummer20112ndset747.jpg

An end of the day swim is the perfect way to get little ones more than ready for easy sleep. A cool swim and a warm bath, and they are gone as soon as their heads hit the pillows!

After every Disney evening, there is a Disney morning.

Don't ya just love how that works? :wizard:

Lovely early morning walk around Pop -- is it strange that I love seeing the mist coming off the pool?
