Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Oh MeMOm! I guess it's nice that your neighbors are concerned when they see something amiss! Good thing there was not ketchup spilled to look like blood!

I'm sure it wasn't as bad as you think. Police have seen the worst!

Rinky - OH MY GOSH! How horrible. It sounds just like some of the child protection cases we get at work. Poor child. It's good you called, you probably saved her life.

Have fun at the last day of camp MeMom!!!

Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about what that police officer saw. Like others have said, I'm sure they're used to seeing all kinds of stuff and don't think much of it. I'd just be glad he was there to check on things, plus I'm also pretty sure it wasn't all that bad, just, as you said, "eclectic". :hippie:

If it'd make you feel better, you could certainly call him up and I'm sure he wouldn't mind a slice of any of those yummy desserts you mentioned with a cup of coffee, while hearing the fun story behind all that. It could go something like this: "well, the candy bars are for...see here, the bycicle parts are...the extension cord...and well, the spaghetti and eagle brand are...yeah, and the shark there is from...see the jellyfish?...oh, never mind, more banana bread??" :flower3:

I would totally freak to come home and find out they had been in my house the way it looks right now. It would serve me right though, cause I need to get it cleaned up and I keep putting it off.:rolleyes1 Oh well, maybe this weekend I can get caught up.

I must say though, your story cracked me up and it was a great way to start a Friday morning.

Whew, I'm finally caught up!

What a wonderful start. Love your trip reports. The title for this one is just too cute as was the video.

I'm so sorry about your tangle with the tiger. Did you get his name? I hope it wasn't Mike (LSU mascot) or Tony (frosted flakes). I walk my dogs at night. One of them is a Golden Retriever, Max. We were clipping along one night and he got distracted and passed right in front of me. I tripped and went down hard. I had skinned knees and hands. Ouch!

Loved the empty MK photos. Like everyone else I would love to see what Photopass pictures y'all got.

I hope you enjoyed your last day of camp. Danielle went to camp for the first time this year and loved it. Next year she wants to do 2 weeks.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hope you are enjoying your last day at camp. The house story was very funny! Even though you thought it was a mess, i bet the police have been in far worse!!Looking forward to your next update. Napkins still twirling here:wave:

Glad to see you are surviving camp.

The house thing would happen to me too. I emptied one room out to paint and am almost done reloading it but most things need to find a new place to live.

I have had cabinets empty and those things all in our living room so that room was a disaster. I am slowly getting it back in shape. slowly.

For everyone in this heat wave stay cool. I am glad to finally have air conditioning in my office. I would not be in here if I did not. ( which then again may not be a bad thing :) )

Sounds like you've had an exciting week MeMom!

Here's a quick update on my mom. She's been doing very well since she came home on Sunday. Her stitches hurt sometimes, but not very much. She's been walking fine all week, she just gets tired fast. She can't do much at once. She's pretty much just relaxing, which is exactly what she's supposed to be doing :thumbsup2

Love the empty Main St. & I would love to see those PP pics!! What a great CM!! He did go above & beyond.

Hey at least your AKL bathroom was ok.:)

Hi MeMom!!! :goodvibes

I was slightly behind but just caught up!!! Glad to hear things are going well at camp!!!

The house story was too funny -- reminds me of myself! I try my best to keep things organized, but we all have those days when things aren't so neat & tidy (and some, like myself, have more of those days than others :rolleyes1 )

I really liked the moral of the story -- I will make sure to always keep my doors locked when my house is a mess! :lmao: :lmao:

I really hope we run into Edwin or CM's just like him on our next trip! You are completely right -- the CMs really do make or break the trip! We had good luck last June & had a ton of wonderful CMs cross our path!!! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear all about Crystal Palace tomorrow!!! Its one of the meals I'm looking most forward to in September!!!

I'm excited to catch up on your adventures. I'm sorry I'm so late, but last week DH was gone on a business trip, and DS really keep my hopping with no breaks for serious DISing.

This week family suffered a terrible tragedy, I am not going to hijack your TR with details, but I talk about it in my TR :sad1:

I really enjoyed your Main Street pics, it is wonderful to concentrate on happier times and places. Everyone looks like they are really enjoying themselves and I just love the start of a vacation, with all the happy days spread out before you.

I am so saddened to hear this. I know it is devastating to your family. This has happened to a few people I have known, and it does just hit so quickly and so hard. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Well, I did call the police station to thank them for attending to my house. I told the receptionist what my neighbor had relayed to me, and she asked if I wanted to leave a voicemail for the officer. I did. I told him thanks for being on top of things and for checking out the house. Then I told him I was sorry he had to come into such a messy home and explained the camp situation briefly. He probably rolled his eyes when he listened to it, but I just really needed him to know that this house normally does not look so atrocious!

Camp is over for another year. My legs and feet are screaming at me right now. They are not a bit happy with that concrete floor at camp or with all the hours they held me up on it.

I am going to call it a night, and I hope to do a little bit of nothing tomorrow, except rest and try to catch up with all of you.

And clean the house in case Mr. Policeman happens by.

There's a one in a million chance that he would ever be here again, but if I don't get the things I brought in tonight put up, I bet that 1 chance will happen!

Christine~ Glad to hear your mom is healing just fine :thumbsup2

Memom~ Sounds like that officer at least gave you the kick in the pants you needed to clean your house :thumbsup2 I probably need someone to give me a kick in my pants so i can finally get some cleaning done :rotfl:

I can't believe how big Brooklynn is! She's about the same size as my littlest DSis who is 7. Lil' DSis is actually wearing hand me down clothes I was wearing at the end of grade school into middle school. Makes me feel like a shrimp ;)

Oh I got a little behind again, but I am at the POP bus stop with you all back on page 15 LOL!!!! I will be caught up by tomorrow! CAKE looks TOOOO cool!!! I think the boys and I could whip that up, and I know they would consider it a science experiment, etc. THAT is what boys do... ;)

Looking forward to reading more, and I hope your camp experience was rewarding! I am sure they were all well fed :goodvibes

Great to hear you survived another week of church camp. I am sure all the kids were blessed with your cooking, as you were blessed with their smiles. I love the story of the big sister and little sister. Have a nice relaxing weekend.

If Mr. Policeman came a calling at this house, he would find some Nemo sharks and jelly fish as well! We are getting ready to paint the dining room so believe me we have quite a mess around here! I would be mortified....

I hope you are able to get some rest tomorrow. I know you have worked very hard this week at camp! Is it blazing hot there too?

I thought I would sleep late this morning, but I guess not. Maybe I'll take a nap later today. I'm just starting from after last night's post, so if I skipped important comments or questions, and I know I probably did, please repeat so we can get to them properly.

That incident totally gave me the the incentive to get a start on the cleaning. ::yes:: Of course, I brought in another load of junk last night, so I have to start again on the cleaning today.

Yeah, the boys would have fun swirling a cake! We always take food for our first in-service days back at school. I thought I might make one for that. Start the year off with a little tie-dyed happiness. :hippie:

Survived is about it. It really takes it out of me these days! My legs just don't work as well as they used to, but I enjoy doing it. It's fun to watch the kids grow up and to spend time catching up with friends I don't get to social with when we're at church services.

The guy who does our announcements at church came up and cooked with me Tuesday morning. We stirred eggs and cooked sausage and caught up with the family news. We never say much more than 'Good morning' as we are passing at church, because he's always gathering announcements. It was nice to get to spend time with him. His daughter is a travel agent, so he was teling me about all the places she's been. I brought up Disney World, of course, since that is where we travel. He said he knew a guy that was Disney crazy. He goes down there 2-3 times a year!

He has his obsession, though. He goes all over the place to golf. Some people have their golf, some like to go to car races, some like casinos and others like the beach. I'm just fine with my Disney stuff. :thumbsup2

I have two jellyfish done. I wanted four or five, but haven't had time to do the others this week. The girl I went to the workshop with says that I will have to hang them in certain spots in the room, however. She said the outside rooms (our building is a square, and I'm on the outside side, not the inner courtyard side) have to hang things strategically so as not to set off the motion sensors. I wanted them all over the room, but if that doesn't work, I'll put them on the back wall, I guess.

It has been blazing hot. The air was so thick one day as I hauled stuff from the car tot he kitchen that I about choked. It was unreal. I sucked down no telling how many bottles of water this week!

Resting is my plan for the day. I can barely walk. I will get up and clean some things or move some things, then prop the legs up intermittently between tasks. :)

Take it easy today - at least try.

I have not really been out in the heat, I am trying to hide in the AC but I am wiped out. Early to bed every night and trying to hydrate as much as possible.

Add to that a minor allergic reaction that has been bothering me and adding to the misery. :sad2:

Good Saturday morning from Magic Kingdom!

If you can only choose three of these today, which will you choose?
(Go with all rides/attractions being up and running - including the new Tiki Room.)

disneysummmmer116.jpg

We watched the ducks while Jill went to check us in.

disneysummmmer117.jpg

We promised you breakfast, right?

disneysummmmer118.jpg

Jill fixed Brooklynn's hair with some Magic Kingdom flowers that had fallen to the ground so that she would be like Rapunzel when she met her.

disneysummmmer119.jpg

Mickey waffles will be devoured.

disneysummmmer120.jpg

Bella likes eggs.

disneysummmmer121.jpg

Brooklynn does, too, but she uses a fork for hers. ;)

disneysummmmer122.jpg

Here comes someone!

disneysummmmer124.jpg

It's a cute little Piglet.

disneysummmmer126.jpg

I had a really good picture of Jill making a crazy face here, but I didn't put it up so that she won't try to pay me back. :upsidedow

This is not the crazy face.
This is Jill pleading with Bella to see the characters.

disneysummmmer128.jpg

At least when the characters kneel down and get semi-close, we can get some pictures with Bella in them.

disneysummmmer134.jpg

I told Brooklynn to hold up her Mickey waffle, and she decided to recreate the ear she had already eaten.

disneysummmmer135.jpg

Sweet heavens, this is heavenly sweetness!!!

disneysummmmer136.jpg

A variety of fruit.

disneysummmmer137.jpg

I just realized I didn't even go over and take pictures of the buffet like I normally do. Sorry to disappoint everyone who was line up with their plates. You can go back to an old report and pull it up, if you want. :thumbsup2

As we leave this pretty building, where do you think we are going?

disneysummmmer138.jpg

The whole breakfast had been planned with two things in mind - empty Main Street pictures and meeting a girl who lives in a tower.
