If you can only choose three of these today, which will you choose?
(Go with all rides/attractions being up and running - including the new Tiki Room.)
I forgot to say my choices.
I'd pick Big Thunder, Splash, and the new Tiki Room.
Thanks for the virtual breakfast!!!
You are welcome. I ate leftover bread pudding for breakfast this morning.
Oh those poor legs and feet do need a rest! Standing on concrete is the worst.
You deserve a rest day! Or should I say a DIS day!
If it's not too much trouble, I had asked for the fruit cocktail cake recipe.
I have to share some excitting news...I'm looking into a little Christmas surprize for Lexi.
I'm looking at booking the Christmas Memories package at the Gaylord Palms.
It's a gorgeous resort!
Lexi is a huge fan of the Dreamworks movies and she would flip if she got to meet the characters she has loved for years.
We would also get to see ICE!
We would arrive one day earlier and stay for 2 nights.
I plan on renting a car so we can get some shopping in aswell as be able to transfer to POP.
As we all know I am the worst at keeping things a secret from her (I get so excitted) but this one I am going to try my hardest at.
I can't decide if I want to surprize her at Christmas or wait til we land at the airport.
Enjoy the day all!
* I had no idea we were going to Crystal Palace for breakfast this morning...I would have changed out of my pj's.
Great pics of the girls!
I love the one with Brooklynn making the missing ear with her fingers.
Brooklyn's hair looked so pretty with the flowers.
Mmmn...I could eat a whole plate full of that yummy buffet!
Maybe it should be a Mickey waffle day at our house.
What a grand trip this will be for you guys!
As for the fruit cocktail cake, I just use a yellow cake mix and use the juice from a can of fruit cocktail in place of some of the water. Mix as usual, and you can add coconut and/or nuts, if you'd like. You can also do the cake without either and put them in the glaze, if you'd rather. I just play with different ideas. Anyway, when you have it mixed, fold in about 1/2 to 2/3 can of fruit coctail and bake. I make a powdered sugar glaze to go on top. It's a good cake and is something a little different to take to activities.
I especially love the fruit at Disney buffets. Yum!
Thanks for the virtual breakfast, MeMom!
Love that Jill put flowers in Brooklyn's hair, Bella ate her eggs with her hands, and Brooklyn recreated the missing Mickey waffle ear. Too funny!
It was a fun morning - and a wonderful way to start a trip.
wow - meMom - that food looks amazing. I really thought I was there for a sec! Thanks!
You could clatter some plates around, twirl a napkin, and prance around your kitchen table to make it seem a little more 'realer'.
Love Crystal Palace. That was our first ever ADR and we make sure we go every visit, well except one visit when we weren't really there. We have tried all three meals but breakfast is the best simply for the empty Main Street.
I wonder if that policeman is still laughing. Good story!
I'll ask a man's opinion. Would you have felt the need to justify your horrible house? I really did want to thank him, but I felt compelled to explain the house, too.
Brooklyn's hair looks so pretty with the flowers. I bet she felt like the most beautiful girl in the world. Isn't it sweet how doing a little something like that makes them feel so special?
She did feel very lovely. After the trip, she got a cute haircut, too. She loves picking the flowers that scatter on the ground at the parks and resorts. We always bring a few souvenir petals home.
I love Crystal Palace breakfast! We've only been once but we had a great time.
Brooklynn looks so adorable with the flowers in her hair...what a cool mom for thinking of putting them in!
I love the pic of sweet Bella eating her eggs with her hands and the one of Brooklynn "reattaching" Mickey's waffle ear!
And thanks for putting in pics of the buffet. I really was very hungry!
I'm glad you survived camp and hope you can sleep better 'o nights now that you explained the extenuating circumstances of the messiness of the house to the officer on the scene.
Hope your injury heals quickly and you don't have trouble with the tigers like that ever again!
Enjoy your weekend of rest MeMom!
No fair only giving us a choice of three. There are three our family has never done as well as some old favourites, so I refuse to answer because I couldn't narrow it down!
I gave you mine. A lot of people wouldn't pick Tiki Room, but Brooklynn enjoys it, and it's an old classic, so I am enjoying being able to share it with her now. I hope it's open in October.
I love Crystal Palace and the food looks so good...much better than the boiled eggs and toast I had this morning.
Empty Main Street...I've never seen that except in pictures. Probably won't this time either. But that's okay, it just makes me enjoy your pictures even more.
Love Brooklynn's hair with the flowers. So cute.
Looking forward to where you're headed next. Have a great restful day!
I haven't eaten a boiled egg in a long time. I boiled some at Easter to make deviled eggs, though.
I do hope you get some good Disney time on this trip.
Thanks for the Crystal Palace pics - my favorite restaurant! I love Pooh and friends.
Brooklynn's hair looks great. Who needs Bippity Boppity Boutique?
Yep, just a few flowers from the ground and Mommy's braiding expertise works out very nicely!
Thanks for breakfast MeMom - just over a month and we'll be there - one of my favourite places
Think I'll be looking for a recipe for that peach casserole and have ourselves a CP breakfast at home before we go!
There's so much to choose from there!
A Crystal Palace breakfast at home sounds very fun.
That breakfast sure looks better than the frozen waffles I just had.
LOVE
Brooklynn's hair! So cute! & Bella is eating her eggs so fancy-like.
Only three of those attractions! I'd have to go with Pirates, Splash, and the Haunted Mansion.
Bella had her palm ready to stuff in anything that thought about falling out.
I figure a lot of people are going to go with Pirates and Haunted Mansion.
Thanks for the breakfast treat!! Yummy!!
It's good that you have a rest day today. My plans are having a bday lunch with my dad & a quick run to the grocery store, but after that it's comfy clothes, movies & junk food. I plan on being a lump on the couch the rest of the weekend!!
I cleared out the entire fridge and put everything in plastic containers and ziplock bags so I could see what all was there, so that was a productive thing. I can see the bottom of my sink again, too. That is happiness right now. I am going to work in short spurts.
I just felt a rumbly in my tummy! Your breakfast looked scrumptious!
I love that Jill put those flowers in Brooklynn's hair, so cute
Have you taken care of that rumbly tummy issue now? What would your boys do if they saw you eating breakfast surrounded by some old 100 Acre Wood plush animals you had retrieved from the attic?
