Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I'm late, but I'm all caught up now!

Unfortunately, my 5th graders would roll their eyes at Nemo, but I'm going with a tie dye theme this year. Maybe I should make a cake? :goodvibes

5th graders are such a sophisticated bunch!!! They would totally love a tie dyed cake you really should make them one!! You would be the coolest teacher ever (if you aren't already)!

When Marc got home from his class yesterday and saw my jelly fish he was so impressed he told me I should start selling them on ebay!:rotfl2:
Oh really? It would all be good until they arrived and the buyer realized all they had was a Dollar Tree shower puff and some yarn.....:lmao::rolleyes1

Good Morning!!! I hope your week at camp is going well! I am sorry about the fall you had over the silly cat! That happened to my mom except it was our dog who got in the way and she face planted on the concrete at my grandma's house! It was a sight to see! :sad1: I hope yours heals quickly!!
I would believe you were the hero against a ferocious escaped tiger!! :rotfl2:
Have a good rest of the week at camp!!!

The kids I watch are watching Nemo as I type this. :goodvibes It is such a good movie. Wigd and MeMom, I hope you are planning on posting pictures of your classrooms.

Memom, I hope your face heals soon.

I would totally buy that tiger story! ;) Hope you get to feeling better from that little incident!

Hi Memom. The food your are cooking sounds so good. They are lucky campers. I hope you heal quickly. I have had several boo boos and near death misses with my cats before they passed.I put a link up a few pages back with my pics from the one day in dwntwn dis and akl. I took the zebra domes pic for you. Hope it helps you feel better. :)

Those strawberries look amazing!

Poor MeMom! However, you gave me a laugh about the camp cook who got in a fight over bad fodd! :rotfl2:

Sure hope it doesn't hurt and you feel better soon!

I would totally buy the Tiger story.....it was just on the news in Cincy a few weeks ago that a trash collector saved the day while collecting trash at the local KFC. He spotted a python laying in the parking lot! You could always use that story!

Tiger story sounds good to me! :thumbsup2 I can't tell you how many times I have tripped over Ziggy. I swear he sticks out his paw and does it to me on purpose!
All of your camp food sounds delicious! I know that just from being outdoors on the weekends at our lakehouse makes me ravenous (like I need an excuse :rolleyes1.) But I really think the fresh air/water really does me in.

Still here, trying to keep up with this report. Very busy time of year for us here in the Uk. The kids break up in a couple of days- end of term brings more school activities/plays/sports days etc..(as you will know!!)I finish work on Friday for 6 glorious weeks of fun with Frazer(my DS). Hope your face is feeling much better- naughty cat!! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun at camp. They are very lucky to have kind people like you to make and serve their food.

Oh my....glad you didn't break an arm or twist an ankle.

I laughed because I am all too aware of how gross those skinned knees look.

Hope you make it through the rest of the day without another spill.

Gotta love them cats...I've had to do some crazy moves to side step a cat a time or two who jumps infront of me while I'm walking..usually when I have something in my arms and can't see.

With all this talk about all the different "under the sea" classrooms. I need to see the pics!

Maybe I should put something from Nemo up here in my office....so I can be part of the group.

Disney moment: I was just at the cash in the store and a kid in line received a text from his friend that was in WDW.
I said to him " I'm so jealous" and he said "me too"....made me smile that someone else loves OUR happy place too.
I know you won't think I'm strange. for saying that...:rotfl:

Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Oh no!! Hope that heals up quickly!

For the Nemo/sea themed classrooms: have you ever done fish out of 2-liter bottles? Kind of hard to explain without a picture, but you cut the bottle in half crosswise and just use the top half. Turned on it's side, the spout of the bottle looks like the mouth of the fish. The kids can paint the inside of the bottle (it should be a clear bottle). Then you do like a triangle cut in the back to look like the tail and you staple it together. I realize this may make absolutely no sense the way I have explained this! I will take a picture of the one I have here that Miren made in prek and post it when I can. :thumbsup2 You can make a bunch and hang them with fishing line from the celing.

Ok, here's the picture...hope it makes more sense now! This one is really basic, as Miren did it when she was 5, and the teacher just drew eyes on it with a marker but I've also seen them where they've glued googly eyes on them and painted them to look like specific fish, such as Nemo, for example. ;)

memom...it could have been worse!! My mom tripped over her own shoes and broke her foot a couple years ago! And the funny thing was she always yelled at us not to keep our shoes in the walkway....well she didn;t listen to her rule and tripped over them! She was pretty embarrased as how she broke her foot! LOL!

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your "owie"! :grouphug: I hope that gets better soon.

And I would totally buy the tiger story. You're a tough gal, you could take a tiger! :thumbsup2

Here is my shameless plug of the day; I started my PTR tonight so I'd love to see lots of ya over there! I'm pretty fun and only slightly neurotic about my trip planning...we don't know anyone like that, do we?!?!?!? :surfweb:

I'd totally buy the tiger story, too! Charles's younger dog, Jack, is extremely cat-like and has been known to do things like that, too. I almost went face-first into the corner of their kitchen table once b/c I didn't see him and he started weaving around my legs like a cat does. As irritating as that it is, Jack's cat-like mannerisms are absolutely hilarious to me b/c Charles HATES cats and he somehow ended up with a dog who sometimes acts more like a cat than a dog. :lmao:

Sorry to hear the cat tripped you up. ;)

I have one that does the same thing. More often than not I end up stepping on him and almost fall when I realize it.

He is a ninja cat too- one moment he is not there and the next I take a step and he right underfoot. :lmao:

Yeah cats have a way of running or jumping right in front of you don't they??
I have come so close to falling because my cat decides to tear around the corner & right in front of me as I am walking.:confused3

I hope your face is not too bad. I would buy that tiger story. Yeah sure...

Choc chip pancakes. Yum!!
