They've opened new Fantasyland, which I imagine will take them through the 2013 calendar year, just as WWoHP took Universal through a couple of seasons without having to open something huge in its wake.

Universal opened a new ride Despicable Me and did an overhaul of Spiderman (much like the Star Wars overhaul) since WWoHP opened. They haven't stopped.

I'm not saying that WDW isn't doing anything....I think the whole point of this thread is that they should be doing a lot more.

I think the other parts of the FLE are enough of a draw for now.

On the smaller side of openings Disney referbed Test Track - which I hear is very popular, and opened a Jack SParrow attraction at HS.

The Mine train is prob next on their list. After that they still have Avatarland

and then you have the highly rumored expansion of HS - which is rumored to include Cars Land!!

I don't really feel like getting into the old Disney vs Universal thing again because that has really been beaten to death IMO. However I do believe that Disney needs to kick up their construction. Epcot is in desperate need of help and I say that as someone who always adored Epcot.

Looking back at the original title of this thread, it started with the comparison of a glorified kiddie ride to a thrill ride. To me, comparing those two is like comparing Dumbo to Space Mountain. Since the beginning, this thread has turned into a pissing contest between the fans of the 2 resorts. Yes, both resorts are in competition. Yes both resorts have a wide variety of attractions causing people of all ages to enjoy themselves at either place. DW is larger and Disney is the veteran of theme parks in this case. I prefer Disney which is why I'm on a Disney forum. If I wanted to read about Universal, I'd be on that forum. I hope that future, excessive mentions of universal will be posted where they belong.... On the Universal forum!!!
