These resort threads are ridiculous. To me, it's like the question "which is better, cheesecake, chocolate cake or ice cream?"
Some people say "this restaurant was much better when there was only one choice, chocolate cake. They REALLY knew how to make a mean chocolate cake back then, served by an army of dancers who did backflips and set off fireworks for each piece of cake served." Other people say "well I love anything chocolate so CLEARLY the chocolate cake is the best but only if you have the BIGGEST PIECE in the dessert case. I MIGHT try out some ice cream IF it is chocolate but ice cream is 167% more expensive for 826% less product."
Then you have the ice cream people who believe that ice cream is the best because there are so many different kinds all closeby in that one little freezer case and who think that chocolate cake is boring, even if it does come in huge pieces and who don't care if the ice cream man is a big clown (some even LIKE the big clown ice cream man).
Then there are the "well I've been waiting to buy some cheesecake for a bazillion years now because clearly cheesecake has the best pool" people (oops, did my analogy become a little too literal there?) who once in a while might like to pop over and have a scoop or two of ice cream but like to say "nyah nyah, you can't have any of my cheesecake" to everyone at the ice cream shop. Just remember, though, cheesecake is also a favorite among ants ;-).
Don't forget the "fresh cut fruit bowl" that wasn't meant to be on the dessert menu at first, but was so popular that it quickly became part of it anyway. It costs as much as the rest of the desserts but has less fat, sugar and calories so all of the cheesecake, chocolate cake and ice cream lovers say "ha ha, you are paying as much for a bowl of FRUIT as we are paying for an ooey gooey delectable dessert" and others say "Yuck, we can eat fruit at HOME!" but the fruit bowl lovers reply "we LIKE the fruit bowl because it is unique among desserts on the dessert menu."
We won't even talk about the well-known desserts that have made it to the "day old" rack at a discount even though they are just as delicious as the other desserts, but my point is that to read some of the resort bickering, one might think that people are trying to choose between a root canal or a tax audit. It's ALL DESSERT! I wish the "worst case scenario" in everything I do is like the "worst case scenario" of staying at your least favorite DVC resort.
I may prefer ice cream over cheesecake or chocolate cake (although sometimes a nice bowl of fruit is what hits the spot) but it's no skin off my teeth if the rest of the world doesn't agree with me. It just means more ice cream for me!
