Anyone been to Mimi's cafe? I want to know if it's worth going to for dinner.

Its just another chain. Much like Olive Garden or redlobster that your experience will vary greatly from place to place based on local management.

Think of it as a cut above applebees / tgi fridays type place.

We have one near my house. I have eaten there twice and both times it was AWFUL. Will NEVER go back. Waste of money!!

It's Ok-owned by Bob Evans (at least used to be) Think of it as a slightly upscale Bob Evans.

Well I love this restaurant and have found them in many different states and always had a great meal. I will admit that it is usually for breakfast or lunch. Sorry so many of you don't care for this place. I really enjoy the different breads they bring you to munch on while waiting for your food. I actually look for this restaurant when I travel.

While it may be owned by Bob Evans, it is far different from Bob Evans. It isn't down home cooking like Bob Evans is. It has a New Orleans flare to it. We have one about two miles from our house. We don't go often, when we do go the food is usually very good. I think the term "slightly upscale" is not accurate. While not upscale, I wouldn't even put it on par or even close to Bob Evans.
