Millionaire taping in Jan. Ques??

Hi all, I received confirmation for my ticket request for the millionaire taping in Jan. My slot is for 11:00am , now I'm not sure what time MGM opens up that morninig, but in the event that it does open early, does anyone know if we are allowed to enjoy the park before the show?? Second question, does anyone know how long the taping actually is ??? I'm taking my folks who have never been to MGM and I know they will enjoy the taping but I also want them to see as much of the park as possible. Thanks in advance !!
