Milkshakes etc

I'm a little confused about drinks on the DDP... Are milkshakes included as part of the DDP if they're at a TS? Do they count as your drink or dessert? If you buy a drink with a glow cube or a special light up straw do you have to pay for the whole drink OOP or just the novelty?

I'm pretty sure that milkshakes are included as a drink. The glow cubes are extra.

From what I´ve read you can get a milkshake as your dessert but not as your beverage. Not sure about the glow cube thing though.

50's primetime & Whispering Canyon we've gotten milkshakes for our drink.
Sci-Fi in Jan. 2008, told us we had to use a dessert credit for a milk shake.

Same here - I've gotten milkshakes as drinks at 50s primetime and Whispering Canyon (which are all you can drink also!). And I've gotten smoothies as drinks at Kona Cafe and Rose and Crown.

I find this so confusing.

They put non-alcoholic drinks on the brochure. They don't mention that specialty drinks and sometimes milkshakes are not included. Disney really needs to be more consistant.

Anyone know of any specialty drinks offered at Ohana', Boma or Coral Reef?

The only one of those 3 that we have been to is Boma in Oct 2006. We did get smoothies for our drink.

I think most TS let you get a shake or smoothie as your drink on DDP. There are no refills on these however. I know we were able to have shakes at Le Cellier but I understand that it can depend on your server. There have been reports of people getting or not getting shakes/smoothies at the same restaurants.

If it is a special drink with light cubes or special straws you cannot get them on DDP (must pay for the whole thing OOP if you want one).
