milkshakes around the world

I wish I wouldn't have looked at this thread. I'm in big trouble when I get there. Especially if I can use a snack credit.

I second milkshakes from The Plaza restuarant in the MK :)

the shakes at 50's prime time are really bad. full of ice crystals and not creamy at all. really bad texture, low quality.

I have to go with either Sci-Fi OR Whispering Canyon Cafe...those are bottomless!!! :cloud9: (Not that I could finish two...BUT I SURE TRIED!)

I say Beaches & Cream. I got a milkshake before from sci-fi and it was so ridiculously thick (and not very flavorful) that it reminded me of soft serve ice cream in a glass. Beaches and Cream has delicious milkshakes and the chocolate milkshakes are topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. :goodvibes

So for those of you in the know...is there malt in these shakes or is it just ice cream and milk? Because a shake really isn't a shake without the malt right?:goodvibes

a shake is a shake without malt. a malt is not a malt without malt.

Is it possible, though, to get a shake to go from Sci-Fi without dining there?

You can get one without dining there. We did this our last trip because we couldn't get an ADR. They were a bit hesitant, but went ahead and filled our order. The shakes were as delicious as always, but what they did was give us a child size cup (about half the size of a regular shake) and charged us the full amount. We got three, one for each of us, and it cost so much for our little pony's. Delicious as always, but we vowed never to do the to-go option again.

what other milkshakes do they have at 50's PT besides PB&J? No offense, it sounds gross to me. Just standard stuff or anything else "special"?

Besides PB&J, there's Chocolate, Vanilla, and I think Strawberry.

I thought that I sounded gross too, but I gave it a try anyway. It's surprisingly very good! It's much better than it sounds.

Ok, I have to try this in February. I love milkshakes and this sounds disgusting, but I will have to try it once.

Whispering Canyon Cafe has the best milkshakes ever. I had a caramel one and it was delicious! I'm not even a huge milkshake fan.

Ah, that's probably all they had to put them in for to-go, but it's a shame they charged full price. Thanks for letting me know!

My son tried a blueberry shake at Whispering Canyon, he loved it! Now my son is not a kid that really likes sweets (weird, I know) but he had two glasses and actually wanted more.:rotfl:
