I have a quick question. My one year old should be switching over to milk (instead of formula) right around her birthday next month. We are going to Disney in March. I am concerned that milk will be expensive in the parks (for filling 8 ounce bottles) and/or may spoil. Any thoughts on how to make sure I have enought milk on hand. I am considering moving her that "next step" formula for six weeks just so it will be easier when we go to Disney. This way I would have a powdered formula to mix with bottled water when we needed it.

How expensive (and accessible) is plain old whole milk?

We had no trouble getting milk at any food court, counter service place, etc. We also brought some milk boxes (I use Horizons organic) since they don't have to be refrigerated and are easy to transport. We get it by the case at Costco and BJ's , but I think grocery stores also carry it.
Have Fun!
::yes::

If you have a fridge in your room you could also purchase a half gallon for the room for breakfast and night times. We never had a problem getting milk for the kids. That is usually all they drink and water. If your considering using the next step formula, I would think that would be more expensive than just purchasing the milk when you need it.

Milk is available at most, if not all the resturants. According to Allears dining menus it is $1.29 a carton. If you buy a gallon at the resort it will be more expensive than the grocery store but not outrageous. I think buying the milk will still be cheaper than the formula, especially if you are going to buy bottled water to make it (that is $1.25).

If you want the convenience of having it on hand then you can buy the milk boxes. They don't have to be refrigerated so they work well. These are very popular in Florida because you don't have to worry about keeping them cool. Any grocery store in Fl. will have them.
