My 1 yo DS has just been taken off milk products due to a severe intolerance/allergy. Can anyone tell me if WDW sells/serves soy milk to put in his bottle? I quess I won't be able to take soy milk on the airplane, so the plan is to purchase some at the grocery store in Orlando. Does anyone have some ideas? thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do feel your son's pain! (I have the same problem. Apparently, it was a lot worse when I was a baby.) :guilty: Hopefully someone will have an answer for you!

Bumping for an answer! :thumbsup2

I'm not entirely sure but I would think the restaurants would have it available. I know for sure that it was available in the quick service area at the Mara in AKL when we were there (just got back a couple of days ago). They had regular and chocolate at least... maybe vanilla too???

We're in the same boat. I've been told that some of the food courts at the hotels have vanilla or chocolate soy milk and that Donald's and Crystal Palace also has some. If you ask, they can also give you non-dairy ice cream.
Or, you can get a grocery delivery and store it in your hotel room fridge.

Also you CAN take milk with you on the plane, just not in your carry-on luggage.

I have seen soydream and ricedream in the beverage coolers at all of the value resorts food courts. I also saw soydream on the shelf in the snack section at POR in the gift shop. I also noticed that they are double the price. I would suggest buying a couple of boxes (even the juice box size) and packing them in your luggage. Also, make sure that you read the ingredients on the non-dairy desserts. These products sometimes still contain some milk proteins. If your child has a true allergy and not just an intolerance, this could be a problem. I know how difficult it can be to travel with food allergies, but Disney makes it much easier. PM if I can help you with anything else. I am an expert on dealing with avoiding milk products, as I have had a life-long true allergy to milk.

My ds has to be dairy free so we are really careful about what he eats.
We have found that it is easier to buy soymilk in the small boxes at a store once we have arrived . Yes, you can stick it in your checked luggage but be prepared for security at the airport to open your suitcase to check it. We always get those little notes in our bag saying it was opened to check it. Also tripple bag it in zip locks if you pack it.

Even at Goodings market in the marketplace area near Downtown Disney they have Eden Soy products cheaper than at the resorts on property (at least that was the case last June when we were there). Depending on how long you are staying and how much you need will determine the best cost value for purchasing. I know the Winn Dixie nearby did not have much of a selection in small containers when we were there last summer, just the bigger size ones.

The good news is that 4 years ago when we started going as a family with ds there was no place on property that I could find soymilk where we stayed, nowdays I have seen it in most of the resorts markets we have visited.

My son also is allergic to milk. I buy silk soy milk in the juice box size. They don't have to be refridgerated, but I recommend chill them before you drink it. If you are renting a car you can get it at a local super market. Also when you make reservations let them know about the allergy, they will try to accomadate you. Good luck.
