Hey, new to the military ticket ordering… we have a trip coming up in a week and just now placed an order through shades of green for tickets. Scared they won’t be here before our trip. We live in Georgia and ordered them from Orlando. Does anyone have experience on how long shades of green generally takes to get tickets to you?

Have they responded to you? In my experience it took a while after we filled out the initial form for Shades to call us for payment, etc but they FedEx'ed the tickets pretty quickly.

When my MIL did it, the whole process seemed to take 3 weeks. Also FedEx failed to deliver on a Friday, so it was three extra days before the tickets arrived.

You may need to just buy them in person at SOG.

Unless they actually took your CC number and put the charge through there is a substantial delay between sending in the signed pdf and them calling back to execute the transaction.

Are you staying at SOG? They're usually just waiting for you at check in. They have always sent me a pdf with a picture of ticket numbers that I use to put into the app for park reservations etc.

Yeah, I agree that I'd be nervous if I was leaving in a week and just ordered the tickets. I'd call them and see if you can just pick them up at the resort. Even if you aren't staying there you can still get them at the resort once you arrive.

did you get your theme park reservations in atleast? since next week dates are already gone for certain parks

This process changed before the covid closures. SoG no longer holds tickets for its guests at the desk. They ship them to all guests who purchase from them.

If you just filled out the request form, then I wouldn’t bother having them sent to you. I would buy them in person at SOG (tax free) or any ticket booth on property~even though we pay tax on them that way.
If you’ve given them your credit card information, and they’ve run the card, did they tell you how they would be shipped to you? Maybe you could call back and get a tracking number.

I waited too late myself, I filled out the request form, SOG said they’d call back in 3 business days…it was the day before my trip they called.
Instead, I phoned the ticket office at our closest military base and purchased them over the phone. ( We live about 70 miles away) They FedExed them out to me that day and I received them the following day!
So much easier than SOG!

We did go ahead and purchase tickets through Disney just to make sure we’d have reserved parks, our plan was to cancel the tickets after we received our SOG tickets and booked park days using those. Will definitely call tomorrow though to see if we can pick them up at resort! Thank you!

Thankfully we have, we went ahead and purchased tickets through Disney and booked our dates, our plan was to cancel those tickets once we got the SOG and booked parks using those tickets. Sadly we might just have to pay the full price for tickets since we planned this trip so last min.

Wanted to say that I’m not sure who you’re calling SOG for a tracking number or a different base. But if it’s a different base, the one I called was Ft Jackson. Victory Travel Center.

If you bought tickets through Disney, I don’t think you can cancel them. I could be wrong, but I believe they are not refundable. You can use the price of the tickets toward future tickets though.

You can’t “cancel” purchased tickets. They are non-refundable.

You can save them and use their value toward a future ticket purchase, though.

If you booked a package (room+tickets), you can cancel the tickets and have what's known as a "basic package" which is essentially a room-only reservation under the package rules (PIF, cancellation, etc.). Just be aware that to drop the tickets so close to your trip would likely cost a $50 change fee.

If the tickets were purchased separately, not part of a package, PPs are correct that generally-speaking the tickets are non-refundable, but the value can be used as a credit towards new tickets at a future date. I recommend you keep note of the ticket numbers and current value because they are likely to disappear from your MDE after expiration.

I just did this a few weeks ago for our October trip. SOG sent me the tickets pretty quickly once they called for payment. The kicker is that you need the tickets to secure reservations at the parks, unless they stopped doing the reservations. I'd call and speak with someone to confirm your options, though.

We made sure we could cancel before purchasing.

Yes we did a room and ticket package, the room is military discounted and they said if we get the SOG tickets and called to cancel our current tickets their would be no $50 fee due to the fact we swapped over to military.

We actually can cancel purchased tickets 😊 it was a room+ticket reservation.
