Military tickets and 60 day FP+ window

We are going to Disney on October 13th, and my husband was planning on buying our tickets before August 14th so that we could make our fastpass selections at the 60 day mark, but he just read that the tickets won't be for sale until August 25th? (because the current offer expires before our trip) Are we just out of luck for reserving fastpasses 60 days ahead of time? This new system just keeps getting more and more frustrating.

Never mind, I called and was told we are just out of luck! Ugh! I'm trying not to be a big whiner, because I do appreciate that they even offer a discount, but I really wish they had set it up so that those getting tickets for the 2014/2015 promotion could take advantage of the 60 days.
I haven't even made it to the parks yet and I already really dis-like fp+!
