Military Ticket Questions and Discussions

You shouldn’t have any trouble getting a reservation. I think you said you wanted MK. With a party Oct 4, MK park closes early and it won’t get busy until after 4 when the party crowd can get in. The other parks have a modest rating for crowds, as well, if you choose something else.

Have some other questions. Planning to call Shades of Green later.

I was reading some restrictions.
You must make a park reservation. Can you change this reservation at anytime? Our last trip we ended of doing an extra day at MK instead of park hopping.

You can only visit the same park once per day. If I leave to give my kids a break, I can't re-enter the same park?

On there website it says park hopping only after 2pm. Is this still the case with MYW tickets?

Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to change your reservation with no issue on the app. I've changed it, although I can't remember offhand if I've done it on the fly. I want to say I've done it the night before though.
WDW always says "subject to availability" but unless you're going during a peak time (and maybe not even then), probably not an issue.

Leaving and re-entering is also not an issue.

They stopped the 2 p.m. hopping restriction a while back. We hopped before 2 p.m. on Labor Day weekend. This wasn't with MYW tickets (I used Salute tickets) but I think you should be able to. The buses to the other parks won't start running though until 10 a.m. I think.

Thank you! Feel like Shade of Green gives all these restrictions but are not very detailed so there is a lot of grey area.

I was assuming their website was just outdated with the 2 pm.

We never go at peak times. Our trip is the last week of January and we are looking to get tickets ordered next week but wanted to make sure they don't have restrictions that regular tickets don't have.

MYW tickets (Salute tickets)

Just to clarify... Salute tickets are not MYW. They are their own type of ticket. Shades of Green also sells discounted Magic Your Way tickets; these are not as highly discounted as the Salute tickets but are not as restricted -- more than 6 per year, more variability in length of ticket, etc.

What kind of military ticket do you have? Salute tickets include hopping. MYW tickets are available as either "base" tickets which are 1-park per day (no hopping) or "park hoppers" which allow you to visit 1 or more parks in the same day.

Both types require a theme park reservation. It's usually very easy to change, but it is subject to availability of reservations.

All tickets allow a guest to leave and return to the same park in the same day.

Park-hopping is no longer restricted to after 2pm.

I know there is a big difference. We are going MYW with Hopper. My brother-in-law is getting them for us but will not be going.

Thanks, I wrote that wrong and edited to clarify. I used Salute tickets (why I put in parenthesis) but it did read wrong
